At the moment we have no idea what is going on what players have been targeted what negotiations have taken place or are taking place

Galatasaray made an official statement to their fans saying they were negotiating with us to sign onyekuru on loan

I wish our club would do something similar but they never will.

Galatasaray made an official statement letting everyone else know that a good player was available and that they were trying to negotiate for him, but may not be able to make a deal. In one swoop they set themselves up for failure with the fans if it DOESNT work out, and also let every other competitor in.

If you want fans to feel better for 5 minutes and then hate you for the rest of the season? Its a good strategy. If you dont mind fans hating you for 5 minutes, but then getting better players for better prices because other teams arent aware, than its horrible business.

I'm all about the premature hype

I think Marcel Brands should walk around with a Go-Pro attached to him for the entirety of the transfer window and it should be streamed on GrandOldTeam.com
Something along the lines of the Trueman Show would be ideal.

Posters could vote on whether they were happy with his progress in signing players, similar to the one that the club did, when getting rid of Allardyce.

Call me whatever you want but I believe a club should be transparent with their fans

Some people prefer business to be done behind closed doors fine but I prefer to be kept in the loop with what the club is trying to do

Remember when the club used to announce bids/interest in players who we were ultimately unsuccessful in signing?
The fan response was invariably either
1) The shear incompetence of everyone at Everton....
2) We were never interested in that player - fake bid to appease the fans #KenwrightOut

I would prefer that the club act in whatever manner gets us the best deals in the transfer window. I would not want the club to cede any ground in their negotiations just so they could inform the fans that they are attempting to sign a particular player.

As multiple posters have said - patience, we need to have patience. Something that doesn't seem to exist among the majority of premier league supporters anymore.

I get what you mean about transparency - but not while negotiations are ongoing,,, that's how you end up with the John Stones Chelsea transfer saga crap (or Marco Silva), does anyone really want this?

If Lookman wants to go I do not blame him, so if we MUST sell him I prefer we do it outside of the league. If I am making the decision I would demand MUCH more from Leipzig though.

Lad doesn't strike me as a player who would force a move unless it's necessary. He obviously just wants to play.
Dont mind to sell him out but the asking price is quite unacceptable...14M? We at least can get 20M from him if we sell to any premier team...
