Bertolacci looks decent on YouTube, reminds me a bit of Jack Wilshere. Could be legs in this. A cheap option to bring balance to the squad whilst we spend big on 1 or 2 others maybe? How many left footers do we have? Baines, Dowell? Is that it? Not counting Pickford obviously..

If he is a genuine target, he’s 5 million pounds, looks like he can carry the ball forward, skilful box to box left footer.
Worth the risk. Have a little faith in our director of football lads, he’s proven that he’s competent enough to get the benefit of the doubt.

There are certain players who you see develop and you can instantly say they will go on and achieve great things in their career

Tom Davies is not one of them. The fact he has actually regressed his progression is the evidence of that.

In a few years he will be playing for Birmingham or Charlton
Good point. No one else regressed under Fat Sam.

Come on, man. He's just a kid as is Vlasic. You don't write off players like this. Lookman, too.

A quick look around suggests that Bertolacci did actually do well on loan last season.

But he underwhelmed when at Milan.

So guessing we'll find out if we are actually in for him.

Means nothing as we know.

Players have bad seasons, it happens.

Willing to bet half the people who will moan if we sign this guy, will be the same ones who were in uproar because we didn't try and secure the show pony from Barcelona who ended up at Watford, despite the fact he hasn't had a decent full season anywhere yet.

Was on loan at Genoa.
Should have been more specific, Milan were poor just like we were last season. So I’m not concerned he didn’t cut it there.

I’m convinced Silva can get a tune out of the some/most (all the lads hopefully) and additionally hope he can make this lad perform also. x

Bertolacci. Two footed. Quick. Not Klaassen.

Bonus.
Is he quick, though? I admittedly don't know the guy as I don't watch a ton of Serie A, doesn't look especially swift on highlights, but obviously that doesn't mean much.

Not like they are showing him tackle anyone and he almost led Serie A with 2.2 fouls a game and was top 20 in tackles.

Does seem like a much cheaper alternative to Klaassen with a bit more toughness to him. He gets fouled A LOT, too. Imagine if we actually signed a player like Mina that could head a friggin ball in off a set piece as often as Sigurdsson puts it on a platter.

I trust Silva, given his signings for Watford.

A player who's two footed gets the initial thumbs up from me. It's amazing how many "professionals" aren't.
