But yeh, I haven't seen Bertolacci enough to judge properly. Didn't really notice him in the few times I watched any Genoa games last season. Don't know whether that's good or bad.
The lad is just 20.
He had a great breakthrough season. Last season, he levelled out, in a crap team with managers who had no clue how they wanted the team to work.
When we actually looked half decent, Davies was in the side in that 4-3-3 with Gueye and Rooney.
Does he give the ball away? Yeh. Probably because he actually tries to make things happen rather than picking a safe pass.
It's got nothing to do with how much heart he has, or passion for Everton. He's got quality. It needs refining, but he's a very good prospect.

Now i admit i only know watching Bertolacci from watching some you tube videos but i see him do things Schneiderlin, Ghana, Mc Carthly Besic and Davies can only dream off. Davies might become a great box to box midfielder, but last season his passing forward was soemtimes very poor. Just a bit worried why we will get this lad for such a low fee if he was ever such a great talent. Seems like he does his defending duties, so if he settles his qualities should shine in our team

Don't know much about this dude, but seems to me he can play as an attacking midfielder or as a central midfielder. If he's any good at all, seems to me he allows us to ship out Klaassen and loan out Vlasic or maybe even Davies. That would be kind of interesting.
One thing that is really encouraging to me is that although Doucoure or Bissouma might be made up, in those two, Mina, and Tierney, you've got IMO the biggest positions of need, CB/CM/LB.

There are certain players who you see develop and you can instantly say they will go on and achieve great things in their career
Tom Davies is not one of them. The fact he has actually regressed his progression is the evidence of that.
In a few years he will be playing for Birmingham or Charlton

Probably would've been tough to see him play then, unless Milan were playing Genoa. And Genoa looks like they were a pretty defensive side, so not sure anyone would seek out them to watch.
