To but in if I may - I like Laxalt but would only play him as a wing back in a 3-5-2. He is attack minded and capable of chipping in with goals. I wouldn’t use him as an out and out LB.

I’d prefer Digne or Tierney over him to be honest. I just have nagging doubts.

It’s about the wage bill though isn’t it. We need to reduce it to bring players in or we are stuffed.

Looking at that list, I'd say another 8 (possibly up to 10) players could go. Takes us down to, say, 27. Bring in 3 or 4. That would do.
Does seem a lot to ship out in 3.5 weeks though. We'll see.

The squad registration is 25 with rules allowing players under 23 with certain amount of years not needing to be counted.

I suspect players who do not meet registration will be shipped until the end of August provided they want to play.

The squad is heavily supplemented by youngsters so could be close to the 25 as things stand.

Interesting few weeks remaining.
