Not being in Europe is killing us with attracting certain players. It'll take at least a season to sort out the mess if a squad we have before we challenge for Europe and begin to attack decent ballers unless Brands pulls a few rabbits out of hats.

I'm not disagreeing, but is Europa League really that big of a draw to young players? I understand wanting to play in Champions League, but Europa always seems kind of blah for everyone outside of the supporters that get to travel.

No, but my view is also colored by the fact that he's our #3 RB and our #1 or #2 CB

thought he looked excellent as a CB last year. Don't understand what people have against him whilst we have the likes of Williams and Keane on the books, both of whom are inferior. Also despite waking up towards the end of last season Jags has more than his share of "moments" too.

I don't think Holgate is better than Jagielka at the moment.

But, moving forward we're obviously going to have to play Holgate so he improves and we have to build a younger defence. Doesn't make him better than Jagielka.

Pretty sure our best period of defending was with holgate/williams actually. Then sam changed it up for no reason.

Particularly when Davey Moyes steps out in the centre of defence with Jags.
