He isn't the tallest, which may go against him, but he is strong and solid, for sure mobile, not sure if he's that fast, but of what I have seen of him, his positioning seems to be good, so doen't get caught out too much. He is quite comfortable stepping out from the back with the ball, and reads the play well. He is quite a fearless defender. But seems diciplined with it.

He does love a shot for sure and has scored some nice goals!

Silva has deployed a back three in the past.

With the way our attack and midfield is shaping up we wont use an orthodox winger but will look to the full backs to provide width, crosses and alternatives on the overlap. A functioning three man defense would would give Coleman and – fingers crossed – Digne/Tierney license to bomb down the flanks.

Problem is we'd need at least two new CB:s to make this work. Maybe Silva's six man wishlist has two defenders on it, who knows ...
