Barkley can only transform midfield in fantasy Football leagues...

Ross "fannies around with it" Barkley in his last season with us playing in a midfield 3 or wide right: 5 goals, 8 assists, average of 2.5 shots and 2.3 dribbles per game, 45 passes a game

Gylfi "our best player" Sigurdsson: 4 goals, 3 assists, average of 1.4 shots, 0.7 dribbles, 25 passes a game.

Don’t talk bad about “Siggy”

We'd take him back in a second, just like we did with Rooney and Pienaar and would with Stones or Lukaku.

Barkley transforms the midfield with his mobility and the fact he gets involved with play even when off form.

Not going to happen though.

Transforming midfield from the Chelsea bench

That’s some skill that only rats possess

Barkley might recover a little of his reputation under a new Everton manager with none of the past to haunt him. I hope not, as I do not want him back here. Bournemouth is made for him, no pressure and out of the limelight. .

Obv yeah, but I remember reading that when Bernardo Silva played for them he was one of the rare ones who lived in Monaco itself and all he could afford was a bedsit or something
Quite possibly.

I think the rule of thumb there, is that if you have to ask the price of anything, you can't afford to be in Monaco.

Take a look online, im confident he could afford it.

I don't question his ability, he is a brilliant player on his day.

However, he is a horrible dirty snake who ratted his hometown club out of millions of pounds for his own personal gain and should be allowed nowhere near this football club ever again. I hope he rots on that bench and inevitably ends up crocked at the age of 28 playing for Newcastle/West Ham.

Did you watch Barkley at all the season before we sold him? Or are you fishing?

When off form, the whole game by passes him. He barely makes a sprint. And his passing was awful.

He hasn’t been on form for a long time for us, other than 10/15min spells here and there.

Still better than any other midfielder we have

The problem I have is that both my eyes and the stats completely contradict that.

I saw a player who could break defensive lines with dribbling and passing. The stats showed that. By FAR our most creative player.

I saw a player who touched the ball a lot. The stats also show that. He literally touched the ball twice as much as the player who replaced him.

Was he perfect? No. Is he world class? No.

But just like Stones his imperfections are massively outweighed by what they bring to the team.

I can't see how anyone could think our team is better without than it was with.
