Yes he looks promising. Could be someone Marcel (the do called Dutch Fraud ) has ear marked.

Worried about the CB situation.

Remember 2 summers ago when we needed a keeper. Koeman brought in Stek, who wasn’t getting in Southampton’s or Fulham’s team. Everyone said - oh he likes 3 keepers Koeman, we’ll bring in another. Only we didn’t.

And last summer, was clear as day we need a CF, but after Giroud strung us along, we ended up not bringing one in.

If we follow this pattern with a centre half, then we’ll end up in the relegation mix. For me it was the number one priority and it should have been sorted by now.

The people in charge then aren't in charge now. Also I see left back as the bigger problem. Last season we used Cuco there for something like 15 games. That couldn't be allowed to happen again so getting Digne is huge

Definitely should be our Number 1 priority. I'm no Moyes fan, but we haven't had a good defensive set up since his time here. Mind you Moyes also had the benefit of Cahill and then Fellaini assisting defensively at corners. We miss that from a defensive perspective.

Carsley used to win loads of headers defending set pieces too. Gueye is too short , and Morgan has too nice a haircut for him to bother with jobs like that.

Personally I'm hoping we sign a Brasilian called Everton.
It would represent the most elegant signing in our history.
( apparently Man C. we're interested in a him a few years ago , well according to Wiki like.)

Had about 4 games at CB after Sam took over where he looked really decent. Then had a shocker at Spurs and has barely been seen since. Certainly not enough to convince me he’s ready for a full season as a first choice CB.

Yea Iv said this before aswel, the run of games where our whole team was in our own box just defending for their lives and plonking it out. I could have done a job in there aswel.

He's shown how comfortable he is at such a young age, We had the best run in our side when it was Williams (?) and Holgate together, I don't think people are praising him for no reason, Of course he makes mistakes he 21 with 33 apps in the Premier League and by no means the finished article but he looks the best defender at the club.
