Zouma played 20 times for Chelsea (practically every game until he did his knee) when they won the league a few years back, winning the league cup final playing in midfield. Then played in a chaotic defence under Hughes where everyone looked dodgy, when the new manager came in and organised things he looked really good again.

Zouma isn't a bad shout actually. Big, strong, quick, French, still only 23. Not sure on his footballing ability but paired alongside Holgate would be a good partnership when we play a high line. Doesn't seem to be in Sarris plans so could be an option if the price is right.

Not fair to be judged purely on his time at Stoke

Tosun dcl and niasse are good options but one more to rival them with some pace would really help I think. Lookman, rico and Sandro can all play that role but I think we need more quality

I have been an advocate for playing the likes of Sandro and klassen this season because they never really got a chance so I would love to see Sandro in a back up role this year. I feel as klassen shown Sandro will be heading out the door this summer instead which is fair enough
 
In desperate need of an experienced CB to play along side Keane. Jags is experienced but has no life left in him

They're our best 4 players then I guess, Tosun should be alright this year. I liked the look of Vlasic and Besic but I wouldn't depend on them for a full season. That list of 33 players looks like a mid table team at best.

Ask yourself this mate. How many players from the other 13 teams in the premier league would be a regular starter in a top 4 club.?

Here's a clue. Don't bother thinking too hard on it as it's a very short list.

He played in midfield in the 2015 league cup final - Mourinho said he was the new Desailly after the game, so he must have reasonable skills.

Think a Digne (25) - Bensibaini (23) - Zouma (23) - Coleman (29) back 4 would be good blend of speed, height and technical ability. Baines/Jags/Holgate/Kenny for cover. Ditch the rest for whatever we can get for them.

That’s what our defence will look like, would have preferred Tierney but i think all in all that’s pretty solid
