Summer 2018 Transfer Window

...it’s the 1st day of August which means there’s just 8 days of the summer transfer window left. Here’s Wednesday morning’s Toffee transfer rumours;

- According to The Daily Mirror, Everton are in the hunt for Porto striker, Moussa Marega. The 27 year old Malian scored 23 goals in 40 appearances last season.

- German outlet, Sport Buzzer, report Everton winger Ademola Lookman is on the verge of joining RB Leipzig on a permanent transfer. The players will is said to have played an important part in forcing the move which is expected to cost £20m.

- The Daily Mirror suggest Everton are interested in taking Chelsea’s Danny Drinkwater on loan. The midfielder started just 12 games last season.

- The Daily Post link Everton with Manchester United defender, Marcos Rojo but say Yerry Mina remains their first choice Centre Back target. The Manchester Evening News, however, reckon a deal for the Argentinian is close for a fee that could rise to £30m.

- The Liverpool Echo report Everton defender Brendan Galloway wants a loan deal away from Goodison as he is a long way from first team selection.

- The Daily Star say Chelsea realise they have little chance of signing Jordan Pickford and have ended their interest in the Everton goalkeeper.

- The Daily Mail and various other outlets suggest Everton have enquired about Villareal winger, Denis Cheryshev. The 27 year old Russian scored 4 times in this summers World Cup.

- RMC Sport say Chelsea striker, Michy Batshuayi has been told he’s not leaving Stamford Bridge amidst interest from Everton. The 24 year old scored 9 goals in 14 games on loan at Borussia Dortmund last season.

- The Liverpool Echo report Lucas Digne’s switch to Everton is near completion after he underwent a medical yesterday.

Would anyone take Adama Traore? I know he’s inconsistent and his end product can be hit and miss, but the boy has electric pace and causes defences all sorts of problems. The Boro fans think the world of him.

18 million release clause isn’t excessive in today’s market.

22 and right winger winger, could possibly be an option to replace Lookman in the squad.

If Bolasie hasn’t have lost a fair amount of pace through his injury he’d still be a decent option for us. He hasn’t been the same player since he came back.

Living in ipswich I go to the odd game. Went to the Boro game and Traore literally ripped Ipswich to shreds. His pace is incredible. Every time he picked up the ball you knew Ipswich were in trouble and the fans knew it.

I just think for 18 million he’s worth it as an option even as an impact sub. What do you get for 18 million these days? Very little.

Would cost a lot more without that clause in his contract that’s for sure. Seems an easy transfer to do with little negotiating, which is needed this close to the end of the window.
