Oh.My.God.

I take back what I said, there is a spanish language highlight clip and commentary entitled "Patadas de Walter Kannemann", which literally means kicks of Walter Kannemann. Give it a minute or two of commentary, and then it gets into it. The AMAZING spanish music in the background might be better than the videos themselves.

Please dear lord sign this guy just for pure amusement. The two footer 3 minutes in is amazing. This guy makes Rojo look like a saint on the field.

..I’m starting to get the impression Silva thinks our defenders are a little too nice.

Admittedly I’m not a football savant and have only been following the sport for 5 or so years - can you all explain to me what Marco is looking for in his CB’s? Big and strong but maybe a little slow like Williams and Keane? Or maybe a slighter build but more comfortable holding a high line like Holgate and Funes Mori? Are those fair classifications?
I’d hope he’d looking for someone quick and expansive who have no problems in a high line which is the style he will want to play.

I also hope he finds one from a team that plays a similar way and has already demonstrated they can defend in a high line, as appose to all our current defenders that have always defended in a low block all their careers.

Think he needs someone at a minimum that can pass out of the back and help spring Coleman and Digne. He should also need someone who can mark in space as if he's pushing up the outside backs, at least when we do push the ball forward. We aren't playing a high line or anything, but he does want to push players up, especially on the wings, so having the athleticism to close players down or at least contain them is critical just to give our other players time to get back into defensive shape as Silva would probably prefer his sides to counter attack. On the defensive side, CBs that are quick in anticipation that can win balls and quickly get it to someone else to try and create off the counter.

That's my take.

..if Silva plans to play a high defensive line, he’ll be looking for defenders with pace otherwise any ball played in behind our back four will be very problematic. Some of the latest links also indicate he wants a bit of steel and competitiveness back there.

THERE.IS.NO.HIGH.LINE.

Please stop with this. He has NEVER played a high line, he plays counter attacking football, and it's not even Simeone defensive line in the counter. There's plenty of information on his tactics at Hull, Watford, Sporting, Estoril, Olympiakos, etc.

WRONG

Yeah because it's completely out of character for Mike Ashley to reject big fees.

Myers knows sod all and was demonstrated yesterday when Digne was having his medical and we all knew he was but Myers was asked if he was in country and replied "I'm not sure."

We all knew he was in Newton-le-Willows FFS.

Wish he'd fall into the Goal/[Publication is blacklisted due to spam]/TribalFootball banned rumour filter because he is utterly awful.

He’s got passion and, until recently, a blue heart though
