At this point, I don't know that it's possible for Everton to overpay for a talented CB.

Watford have SLAPPED a £45m price tag on Doucoure by the way. According to local press.

That actually sounds like a fair price , given the madness that the transfer market is.

Think we agree on that. Maybe not QUITE 45, but I'd go 30s with some performance fees.

Do I think we can find similar players for less, maybe. But at a risk. This guy completely transforms our midfield AND we can ship Morgan out to Marseille or wherever for like 15-20M.

Gana/Doucoure/Siggy flanked by Ricarlison/Walcott/Lookman...man, now THAT would be a legit PL team.

There's still that MINOR problem at CB...

a lot of subs come on vs us and have worldies. You're right about Okaka, he bossed us. Chris Wood at Burnley did the same. The most striking example I recall is vs Norwich back in Moysies last year. We're up 1-0 and some bloke comes on with 25 to play and absolutely demolished us...we lost 2-1. Everton that.

I was actually expecting their asking price to be nearer 55, I always had him down as their best player, although I guess the fact he only has 2 years left on his contract might be a factor.
