Like the reason why the others aren't is partly bc he's not the type of 10 that's needed.
The problem with the Sig type player (Barkley as well) is he good but doesn't fit well into most modern sides.
You need more of a ninja in that position.

Of course, Barkley and Sigurdsson are completely different players. Sigurdsson is actually a ninja.

Sig is slightly better with his little touches in tight which is why he's got more time in a traditional 10 role.
But both can't sustain dribbling in tight space, that can't adjust their legs quick enough, they need space, they don't have the lower centre of gravity required.
When they've got that space and can take bigger touches their good, brilliant at times.
But for me that rules them out as the attacking fulcrum.
So where do you put them?
And do you base your formation, tactics team around them, or do you let them go.
The thing about Sig is, he's perfect for Swansea or a Galactico but not much in between.

I mentioned it earlier, but Alfa Semedo was brilliant for Benfica when he came on last night, and his goal was class. Very Yaya-esque.
Only signed back for them this summer after a year at some other club, having initially come through Benfica's youth ranks.
Well worth keeping an eye on him and seeing how he progresses. Looks a player.

Oh I agree it says more about the team mate.
And yeh, in that 'classic 10' role in a 4-2-3-1 you expect a more nimble playmaker, but actually, you don't see that many of them in that system anymore, well not in England anyway. They either play in a 4-3-3 or wide.
Never seen him play but he was a must buy on FIFA last year.
Would be brilliant to get Barios for relative pittance in January and Gomes winds up being that boss CM we've been crying out for. Would leave a lot of money for that elusive CF
Never heard of him until yesterday mate, but I was very impressed. He was only on the pitch half-an-hour and was, along with Grimaldo, arguably man of t he match.

56 goals in 76 games he's been a machine for them. No amount of money would be a waste on a centre forward who can bag like that.
We simply have to take a big gamble on a top striker as we havent CL football to attract them. £60 million fee and £180-200k a week wage do anything to get one in.
Liverpool did it with Suarez and never looked back.
