Don't agree, Poch has even gone on record to say he didn't want Iceland to leave the club and was a mistake to sell him

Regarding open play, Sheedy, someone mentioned him earlier, wasn't he a luxury player who excelled at the dead ball situation
Not sure where this myth comes from that he was bad at Spurs. He took no free kicks or penalties, yet got plenty of goals and assists in his limited time there. He’s going to be terrific next year with a better supporting cast and coaching.

It's better than that mate... apparently DCL is the best player in the world for his age in his position... that actually got typed
Wow. Well...let’s hope that poster is actually a championship manager that will pay for DCL’s full salary while on loan.

Siguardsson (and I rate him) and sheedy shouldn’t be mentioned on the same sentence. Not only was he the best dead ball specialist I’ve seen playing for Everton, he could influence games from wide on the left with a wand of a left foot. He would drift inside and see a pass in an instant and scored many goals from open play. What a player.
I could cry when I think of the likes of Sheeds and this current lot,yeah maybe reidy,brace did a lot of the running for him,if that is "luxury"!!! he produced magic so very often in so many games, for me he would get in any everton all time XI.

Arteta was a paceless luxury. Had effect on games. I see Iceland very much in his mould just pushed higher up. I rate him. DCL too btw.

...it’s Monday morning and here’s what’s being said in the transfer rumour columns;

- 4th Official again link Everton with Ajax playmaker, Hakim Zyach. The 25 year old Moroccan has expressed a wish to leave this summer.

- 4th Official also suggest Wayne Rooney has agreed to hold talks with with any new Everton Manager before making the switch to MLS side, DC United. The Mirror, however, say Everton are keen for the move to happen so the club gets Rooney’s huge wage off the books.

- Everton are now the bookies favourites to sign Watford winger Richarlison. The Liverpool Echo details the ‘pro’s and cons’ of any deal.

- The Daily Mirror report Aston Villa have joined Everton, Burnley and Newcastle in pursuit of Bristol City’s 24 year old left back, Joe Bryan.

- The Daily Mail link Everton with a £2.5m move for Schalke’s 21 year old forward, Donis Avdijaj.

- The Daily Mirror suggest Jack Wilshire is on the verge of signing a new 3 year contract with Arsenal despite being offered huge deals by Everton and Wolves.

...and a few other things;

- According to the Daily Mail, Everton are set to continue negotiations with managerial target, Marco Silva and his agent this week. It is thought some long-standing issues regarding Silva’s exit from Watford midway through last season are holding up any deal for the Toffees.

Merci ouefs

Is it your money mate, this shouldn't be a part of the equation anymore, its all about the performance

To me and many others Iceland was our best player this season apart from Pickford and as @Peanut94 says he had no preseason and an injury, lets see what he can do next season

Sometimes I think its the "Everton Way" on here to say everyone is gash, in some cases that's correct but its all about opinions!

I watched almost every game last season and he went missing. Hardly influenced any games. If it was up to me hed be out the door this summer. He was brough in based on us signing a target man under koeman. We cant carry him just for his free kicks.

Mate, it is toxic sometimes. FOr some reason, many of our fans think they look good saying our players are crap, it makes them look knowledgeable apparently.
