We should not buy mature world class players because we’re a small team.

We should not buy TOP young players at their age group because 99% will turn out crap.

We should not buy TOP 1% of the young players at their age group because we’re a small team.

We should not buy any players from outside the premiere league because they are risks.

Scratching my head. What exactly should our transfer policy be like?
Anyone Man Utd want out of their club

Stop scratching your head frandel, cos its not your problem, only Marcel knows.

For the record im not saying we shouldnt buy young players.

And im all for buying outside the league.

I suspect the bulk of our transfers this summer will be both yoots and players from outside the league, im down with that 100%.

Both are risky, but risky isnt the word I would use for spunking 27m on Bolaise.

We defo can not buy world class mature players tho.

I think the (not so)important thing to bear in mind here...Mbappe was performing last year at the age of 18 and was capped.

De Ligt was already capped at 17 and played in a european cup final last year...

The only real difference is that one is a forward and the other a centre back.

Mbappe is in his own class mate. De Ligt can't even be compared to him.

World Class, gets jogged on by East European farmers.

Well...when The likes of Lingard, Rashford, and Sterling played against him in March, they managed nothing against him. Since he would be playing against them, maybe not taking the kids first international game ever as the trajectory of his career would be wise.

Bolasie - £12 million
Klaassan- £10 million
Rooney - £12 million
Mirallas - £2 million
Besic- £5 million
Sandro - £6 million
Niasse - £10 million (replaced DCL after todays news)

Williams - 500k
Funes Mori - £9 million (would rather Jags go but think Funes will want 1st team football next season)
Martina - £1 million
McCarthy - £10 million

Around £75 - 80 million for all that dross which wouldn't affect us at all.

Reinvest that in 3 very good players to come into the starting 11 and Mosh to fund another 1-2 and we are laughing.

Good times ahead.

Why do people honestly think we’re getting £12m for Rooney????
That might be what the deal is valued at (including wages and agent fees) but no way we’re receiving money for him. Likely we’ll be contributing to his wages

It's NOT TRUE.

Because transfers deals are never reported based on wages. The deal is clearly specified as £12 million with EFC paying towards his wage over there.
