Reckon if they could hypothetically ship everyone they want out this week we would end up spending BIG. But can see us really struggling to shift a lot.

If by some miracle we can punt everybody we "should", we could be looking at 100m, which, im painfully aware is nothing money in this window, but its still enough to get 3 very decent players.

Everton and Watford are reportedly set to battle for the signing of Bologna star Adam Masina this summer.

The left-back enjoyed a strong season in Serie A with his side and it seems a summer move could be in the offing, as Premier League clubs increase their interest in him.

Reports in Italy have indicated that the Toffees are looking to recruit the left-back this summer, with Marco Silva keen to see defensive options added to his new squad.

Masina, who is a former international for Italy’s Under-21 side, has been linked with a move to Watford for some time now. Reports earlier on in the month even indicated that the Hornets were in negotiations over a move for the player.

However, Everton appear to have thrown their hat into the ring, with Masina emerging as a target for the Toffees.

The 24-year-old started 33 games for Bologna in Serie A last season and was a standout performer for his side.

I dont think we are skint, I just think we are being prudent, im almost certain that Moshiri is willing to back us, if he feels that his money is in safe hands. I agree that its now likely that we wont see a massive net spend this window, we have a LOT of assets on our books tho, so whilst we arent "paper rich" we have something to "trade".

Will be an interesting summer tho for sure.

There has been a serious amount of investment into the club over the last few years, I just think Moshiri wants to see some sort of "return" before he considers spunking another 300m up the wall. I also dont think there will be penny pinching, I think Brands remit is to punt and keep punting, till we cant punt no more.

Still think we are looking at 3 biggish signings and 3 yoots, keeping my 18 out the door, havent decided if im counting Connor Grant, will let you know if I need him!

I don’t necessarily disagree mate, I’m not one who necessarily belivers cash is the answer anyway.

I think we have limited cash flow and practically and likely financially that’s what we have to do.

In order to have anything like a significant window next season, we need to create revenue and not have any exceptional costs.

My point is right at this moment, we are living beyond our means. Which creates limits we haven’t seen since Moshiri took over.

I agree, the financial constraints dove tail with likely what’s needed in rationalizing the squad, but the buisness is at the pin of its color, right at this moment.

The kicking down the road of the payment of the advanced On the Lukaku and Stones deals repairs the balance sheet on paper this year, probably vital to secure credit for the ground, but without that we are probably operating at a loss in reality. Mad when you think we were recaptilised to the tune of 150 mill.

RS just got fekir, already got fabhino and soon to get keita.. These plus their signings last year means they have one of the best recruitment teams in the league. Unfortunately. Meantime most of us are telling each other how it's impossible to sign people before a world cup and we all need to wait..

God, we really effed up over the last year in our signings.

I seen a lot of James Maddison when on loan at Aberdeen. He was on another level to the players he was playing with or against. His winning free kick Vs rangers in the last minute was a moment of sheer genius. Boy I am pals with is an Aberdeen season ticket holder and he utterly raves about him. Best player he has seen up there in 20 odd years. From the games I seen I agree.

20m is a lot of dough but from what I seen he is the real deal. Sometimes irrespective of the level a person is playing at he just oozes class well above his peers. Maddison was just that.

How bad would it be if we just focused on getting the waste out of the wage bill this window and looked to rebuild after that?
Gets coat....

They got a ton of money from getting all the way to the CL final and they have next years CL money coming into.
