I thought that Kante and makelele get compared because they play the same position, both played for Chelsea, both played for France and are/were amongst the best in the world in their position? They are quite similar now aren't they?

.....Sunday morning’s transfer rumour round-up;

- According to Tuttosport, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder, Matias Vecino. The 26 year old is currently part of Uruguay’s 2018 World Cup squad.

- French publication, L’equipe, report West Ham as being on the verge of signing Everton target, Issa Diop. The 21 year old Toulouse Centre Back will cost the Hammers €25m.

- The Mirror says Everton, West Ham and Wolves have all offered deals to Arsenal midfielder, Jack Wilshire, who becomes a free agent at the end of this month. The Express suggest new Arsenal Manager, Unai Emery, has told Wilshire he is not part of his plans for next season.

- The Guardian’s Transfer rumour section link Everton with Watford midfielder, Abdoulaye Dacoure. Spurs are also said to be interested in the Frenchman and it remains to be seen if Watford are prepared to do business with Everton given the Marco Silva compensation row.

- The Star on Sunday reckon Hertha Berlin Left Back, Marvin Plattenburg, will only agree a £16m move to Everton after the World Cup is over. The 26 year old first wants to cement his place in Joachim Leow’s German team.

- SportsLens website suggest West Ham now want to sign Everton target, James Maddison, from Norwich. It is thought the 21 year old playmaker will cost £25m.

- FootballLondon report West Ham are also odds-on favourite ahead of Everton to sign Swansea’s 24 year old Centre Back, Alfie Mawson.
