Apart from possibly Bowen I don’t think we are currently linked with any player we realistically have a chance or any intention of purchasing.
(Maybe Lozano as a long shot.)

Roberto doesn't do defence. We all know that. "rolling the ball backat every turn" was an attempt to shift the play and find space through an opponent....the fact that we had players who proved themselves unwilling or incapable of doing that in his last 18 months here misses the point.

We also played our best counter attacking football since the Kanchelskis era team under RM. No question about that whatsoever.
It wasnt the players being incapble tho, it was his tactics always being the same and not working 50% of the time.
But yeah, we were looking great going forward, I still salivate thinking about Delboy perfectly pinging balls into Roms sledgehammer feet.
Oh how I wish Roberto had just hired someone to deal with defence and organization, Im sure we would have gotten into the CL if he had.

Have you seen much of him? I've never seen the lad play.

I watched a fair bit, games in the championship when we were originally linked a couple of years ago and the acid test in PL last season, despite Boro being relegated they were actually weren't bad at the back unluky in many games with late equalisers etc after being under the kosh for 90 mins, it was scoring goals that were there problem and he was the lynch pin, good scoring threat, can play out from the back, is a unit, a solidifying force, a leader and those rarest of things a left sided centre back, he can also play in a 3. Will be an England cap eventually in my opinion.

Don't remember individually but as a team 'Boro where a very very defensive teams on the occasions they where on TV similar to that seasons Burnley and it's been difficult for Keane if there is a serious interest hope we have done our homework in regards adjustment to our apparent new style of sexy football.
