Doesn’t seem like they wanna pay. 2 year loan we should reject it.
2 year loan is the way to go I reckon.
Klaassen has an amortization of approx £5m per season over 5 seasons. That means he's currently on our books at £20m.
Nobody is paying that so we loan him out for 2 seasons which will bring his value down to £10m.
Get loan fees and part/all wages paid. Sell him for £14m after all that and we've actually made a profit on him (in the accounts).

Don't remember individually but as a team 'Boro where a very very defensive teams on the occasions they where on TV similar to that seasons Burnley and it's been difficult for Keane if there is a serious interest hope we have done our homework in regards adjustment to our apparent new style of sexy football.
Please, didn't we have enough of this nonsense last year. I'm now sure we started playing crap because of the cringeworthy sexy football tag that we sure struggled to live up to. Lets face it after BFS last season we must surely see better footy.

..Eamon Andrews, Peter Glaze and Leslie Crowther when I was a kid but I think the Crankies might have been on in later years.

Anyway, Funes-Mori has left.
Peter Glaze , now there's a name.

You would have suspicions about him nowadays

I watched a fair bit, games in the championship when we were originally linked a couple of years ago and the acid test in PL last season, despite Boro being relegated they were actually weren't bad at the back unluky in many games with late equalisers etc after being under the kosh for 90 mins, it was scoring goals that were there problem and he was the lynch pin, good scoring threat, can play out from the back, is a unit, a solidifying force, a leader and those rarest of things a left sided centre back, he can also play in a 3. Will be an England cap eventually in my opinion.
Thing is, you say 'he'll be an England cap eventually' as if he's 20. He's 25 though, older than Stones and Maguire from the current squad, and less than a year younger than Jones. He's been knocking around for 6 years now without a PL club ever moving for him. The fact that Keane and Maguire were both picked up last year but Gibson wasn't (and still hasn't been) tells me clubs aren't sold on him.

Personally I think they're right, he looks very much like Keane to me, and I was actually more impressed with Keane when they were both in the PL (God help me). As has been said, Boro's defensive record was more to do with them being an extraordinarily negative team than colossal performances by individuals.

The sale of Funes Mori caught everybody by surprise, there was talk of a low bid from Boro, but at that stage the sale to Villareal was almost complete. Even SKY only first announced it as a completed deal, which is unusual as they nearly always have some advance information on deals.

I think this may tell us that there may be a lot less information available to us about our incoming transfers as well, whereas I am not sure I remember the last transfer which had not been flagged well in advance.

No mate.

Just no - they're absolutely clueless.

Agree with the principal however. We're getting our business done - or attempting to - quietly. Which after the billy big balls approach of last year is probably welcome imo.

Less fun though. I enjoy the fume of other clubs who get angry at little Everton stealing their players by throwing money about.

Just as long as we don’t end up with another 5 number 10s, and a backline with a combined age of 2000, then any approach is welcome.

Hopefully Rooney will be next out, then that would then be 3 senior players (on decent wages) out the door and we can start to see some players coming in.

i know you can only sell if theres offers on the table but there's a long list of players i'd have got shot of before funes, the cynic in me worries that we won't replace him and the thought of another season of jags, williams and keane terrifies me
