Player Valuation: £80m
RLC would probably be £60mil, thats what makes it extremely unlikely...but, is he worth the fee? It depends on whether Silva wants an English long term quality player in a box to box role...
De Ligt + Holgate in a 2 would be good on paper.. both very good all round players...Jagielka mentoring them. However i wonder if we would be brave enough to go with starting two young centre backs?
Yeah with Brands we could find that he goes directly to South America...snag is that the best u21 players like lozano and Richarlison are going to be quite well known (like Lautaro Martinez signing for Inter)...plus we have work permit issues like with Onyekuru.
Pienaar had a buy clause in his deal, as did Yobo before him...i disagree that Rashford or similar would stay if they played well for us...
Lukaku was the exception...not the rule.
I think 60 million would be paying a huge premium and a big gamble mate. Is he more advanced than Fakir for example? I'm not so sure. I'd be very cautious spending that sort of money, when you look at his numbers I'm not sure he justifies it.
I think in the short term it would be one or the other, which would be good. We have to hope Keane comes good next season. As with most players they don't become poor players after 1 season. I don' think he's suited to Silva though.
Thats true, and maybe it is. However would you not take Dembele/Rashford on season long loans and take the chance? I think RAshford may stay too, United would fill his position and people tend to fall in love with Everton when they do well here. If the don't, you try again the season after. The top teams buy young players and a section don't work out. I have no issue with us putting ourselves in prime position to get them back on track. Ideally you get a buy figure at the end though!
