As I was chatting last night, good intel suggests that we finished the season with a wage bill of 140m a year.

Robles must have been on what, 40k? Mori probably the same?

So thats 2.7m per week in wages.

We realistically need to get that down to 2m a week.

So thats 80k down, another 620k a week to go.

Not gonna be easy that, I mean sure you can add like :

Rooney 150k
Williams 70k
Mirallas 70k
Martina 25k
Garbutt 25k
Galloway 20k
Browning 20k
Klaassen 80k
Shani 20k
Sandro 105k

Thats 585k

Anyone else we sold would need replacing tho IMO.

I know where you got this from and I just want to tell you I'm not angry, just disappointed.

It has honestly been preying on my mind since I read the piece in The Echo frandelino, ive said it before and I will say it again, cash wise, Mr Esk is normally spot on and has a very good understanding of these things.

Anything financial to do with Everton, don't hesitate to ask me.

We spent loads of dollar on crap last season
We need to get some dollar back for the crap we paid dollar for
Once all the crap has gone for a bit of dollar, we'll top that dollar with a bit more dollar and buy players who aren't as crap as the first load of crap players we bought.

All in -

Player recruitment improved multiple squared of right angle to crap players purchased/sold divided between John, Tim and Susan = wage bill reduced

I honestly had the wages at around 120m, which wasnt terminal, but 140m, plus all the compo, yeah we are proper, proper skint.

But thankfully, its not all lost, 1 window of prudence, shed the wage bill and go again next summer is still possible, but Brands is gonna have to work for his money like nobody has ever worked in football.

There will need to be a balance alright, I personally don’t think we will shift all and we will need to absorb losses as well. If we do anything I think it will be tipping into our Chinese piggy bank, via making a bit of space on the wage bill.

The only other thing would be a rights issue and subsequent capital injection. Doesn’t look likely at this stage of the window, if we were doing that it would be done.

Those kind of decisions will probably be made after the window closes, gives them a better view on things.
