Part of his remit - yes, a big part - is transfers. That doesn't matter if they're unknown quantites or known players.
This is what people can't get their heads around. His job description isn't to find the next Messi playing on the streets of Lima.
In regards to deals, it's to - in conjunction with what the manager wants and the style of play set in place through the club - identify targets, proven or not, and bring them in.

Now I know The echo isnt a great source, but in this occasion im taking their word over some random turkish lids on twitter.
As far as ToffeeTV goes, I suppose they are very good at what they do and they certainly have their fans, but yeah, im gonna leave that there I suppose is for the best.

Personally I don't really care over the money side of things, it's not mine
It's been made clear what needs to be done by the club and I believe there is a lot of action going on with agents behind the scenes, so we can all calm down.
