Sell to buy isnt a thing. What you’re describing is player trading which every single club in the world does. Are we selling Pickford Walcott Tosun Gueye or Coleman? Doesn’t look like it, which means we are selling players we don’t need, like every other club tries to do. What do people want? Keep all the bad players and buy even more players? People just love the ‘sell to buy’ stick to needlessly bash Everton with.

We have so much dead weight that selling them all will provide us with almost all of the transfer funds we need to bring in 3-4 very good players. Selling 9 players who are dead weight(1 of which is already sold) will net us 100 million, and then save us 35-40 million on wages on top of that, in just 1 window.

the only reason we need to sell to buy is because we spent all of last year just buying, and now we have a glut of players. you don't always need to sell to buy, but in our case, we have an excess.

Injuries aside, he’s a good player. But keeping him fit is questionable. How many games did he manage at Boro, consecutive games ?

Dunno about consecutive but he played 15 of 17 available games during his time at Boro and probably missed one of those games due to amassing too many yellow cards.

I'm not sure he is injury prone as such, he has just had some horrible luck with various different things. He has been fit pretty much all of last season just never got a game.
