Our defensive woes could have been sorted if we'd had a manager then who wasn't afraid to break up the Baines-Jagielka Faction and really change things at the club. There's still a tip toeing around it now. Looks like we will have replacements for both this window, but they still hang around the club with their menacing potential to cause trouble in the dressing room.

Exactly, it's almost like theirs a professional specialist formulating and executing said strategy instead of a p.e. teacher that won the lottery to get a scouts job and then Euro millions to land DOF at Everton! Even if it doesn't go quite to plan today I'm calm and confident about our transfer strategy moving forward under Brands.
 
Is there any reason to have Bernard on a 5 year contract of there is a buyout clause? Either he does well but we have no say in selling him and the contract is irrelevant or if he struggles we're stuck with him and the clause is irrelevant
