Summer transfer speculative hopes and dreams

The clear distinction revolves around whether its a forum member who is speculating or a forum member quoting someone who has had their speculation published, both of which result in further speculation by forum members which would then fall into the former category.

Thats cos forum supporters actually value the site and wish it to remain a viable option to good honest blues to read.

If your not part of the solution, your very much part of the problem.

There's absolutely nothing in it, it's click bait garbage, pure and simple. Anything posted from the daily mail belongs in here unless proper quotes are included.
I'm not so sure. I think it could be Spurs trying to put a bit of pressure on us. Testing the waters with both player and fans.

Which is obviously untrue as I've been pulled up in there for posting rubbish.

And then, I find a story with quotes, from the player.

McCarthy said: “I have got time on my contract here. As it stands, I am tied down just now anyway. I am happy here. Nothing has changed from day one. I love it and I am still loving life. I have not heard anything. It is new to me if a club is going to come in and buy me in the summer. I have not spoken to anyone. I have not heard anything. The media has done a few stories but I am delighted to be here and I have many years still to come.”

If it makes you feel any better I reported you and got you banned.

:bye::bye::bye:
You have been waiting for that. I had got sick of that thread anyway which is why I posted it. I knew it would get me banned. Too many people moaning about moderation when in reality what they wanted to do was shut down discussion that they didn't like.

btw - That Guardian article means nothing.

Spurs might be interested in the deal and that's where it has come from. It doesn't mean Everton or McCarthy are.

If thats the case, then you can post whatever you like in here and be free as bird, nobody will "shut you down", you have a platform, I await with baited breath for your endless stream of Metro links.

They broke both the Deulofeu and Shaqiri stories. How can you say there's nothing in it if it comes from them. Anyway I have no interest in arguing about moderation. If you want to do that take it to the other thread.

Which means its speculation.

For the sake of clarity and probably, cos, to be fair, you strike me as somebody that struggles with the most simple of words.

spec·u·la·tion
ˌspekyəˈlāSH(ə)n/
noun
noun: speculation; plural noun: speculations
  1. 1.
the forming of a theory or conjecture without firm evidence.
"there has been widespread speculation that he plans to quit"
And then theres the word

cred·i·ble
ˈkredəb(ə)l/
adjective
adjective: credible
able to be believed; convincing.
"few people found his story credible"
synonyms: believable, plausible, tenable, able to hold water, conceivable, likely, probable, possible, feasible, reasonable, with a ring of truth, persuasive
"only one of the so-called witnesses could provide a credible story"

And finally

mo·ron·ic
məˈränik/
adjective
informal
adjective: moronic
very foolish or stupid.

If thats the case, then you can post whatever you like in here and be free as bird, nobody will "shut you down", you have a platform, I await with baited breath for your endless stream of Metro links.
You see that's the thing. This thread hasn't done that. In fact up to now this thread didn't engage in any off topic discussion e.g. moderation or rules etc.

Personally I think I've posted less than 5 links in total.

There's a difference between keeping the forum open for us all to use and using the forum to elevate your own opinions at the expense of others.

Since we're playing the word game. You might want to look up corruption.

Thanks for that clarification and somewhat implying that those of us in this thread are something less than 'good' or 'honest'.
BTW while you are playing the word game with Adversus you might want to check on the word "your" and how its usage differs from the word "you're"

The Del story they used totally different language, no ifs or buts, but concrete he'll sign for Everton. They had a genuine source, they don't stick their necks out for nothing.

Know little about the Shaqiri story but I doubt we actually put a proper bid in. If we had, he'd be at us not Stoke.

It was a word meaning lesson, not a grammar lesson, my grammar is terrible, always has been and always will be.

I have posted on this forum since 2008 and in that time, I have and will continue to avoid any and all usage of the apostrophe, it offends me deeply, hence, I will always use the word your and never the correct spelling.

It was actually a definition lesson.
