Summer transfer speculative hopes and dreams

They pissed the Suarez money away and tried to cheapen out instead of going for a like for like replacement. Now Sterling is going, Gerrard already gone.

Who do they have left? The only players I like now on their team is Coutinho, Emre Can and Jordan Ibe. Coutinho will be off to Barca next year, maybe even earlier. They need to do some serious spending which will be hard given the salaries of their flops. They've bought their way into a hole which only more money or time can get them out of and they aren't going to spend the money.

+they are s***

Everton are weighing up a move for Newcastle United’s out-of-contract winger Sammy Ameobi.

The Argus names the Blues as the most high-profile suitors for the 23-year-old’s services with his current contract with the Magpies expiring at the end of this month.

Ameobi has been offered a new deal at St James’ Park but is reported to be looking for a move away in search of more regular first team football.

West Bromwich Albion and Brighton & Hove Albion are also in the hunt for the rangy 6ft 4in wide man who is the younger brother of former Toon stalwart Shola Ameobi while Burnley and Wolves are also monitoring his situation.

It's the 'Liverpool Echo'. If you're going to believe what they say then you may as well sign up for that pyramid scheme and those magic beans........

The RS reinvested the Suarez money in English talent without realizing that there isn't such thing.

Except for Saint John Stones.
They reinvested it in very expensive average players. They weren't all English. Once you go above 15m you better be buying a certainty and unfortunately 15m-25m doesn't get you that.

The players we have bought might or might not work out but the ones that don't like McGeady aren't exactly going to cost us loads and when Martinez buys big he buys really big.
