Trying for a few million or something daft weren't they. Heard we were interested and added an extra zero.
Dann would be quite decent for us, although the 8 million figure is purely jarg. I'll scrummage around and see if I can find the wum twitter account that got people talking about Dann signing for 8 million.

Dann wants to come but Palace want way more than the 8 million reported apparently.

8 mill is too much for me. I would use half of that and the 15 mill more on a quality AM

For sure. Key player for them, and when I've watched him he's been very good. With the inflated market for English players and PL experience, it's a given they'd want more. I think he'd be a decent signing, like Reid would have been back in January.
Experienced, solid and good at defending, what we're looking for really. Someone who can give the first choice pairing some competition as 3rd choice and be reliable when called upon.

I think the playmaker is certainly who I would be prioritizing to get in, we desperately need a door unlocked for this team. If we can do that, bring someone of quality in and still have 6-8 left over for Dann or another CB I would be quite happy with our transfer business. Use the loan market to bring in another striker and pad out the squad where needed. Del at the fees being reported should give us a bit more money to use elsewhere

Correct. Hit the loan market big time I say and 1 big money AM of quality
 
My concern is though, Cleverly...Dann. Pretty much more of the same issues as this season. Average British players will be asked to play a continental style of football which they are incapable of.
Need the 2 or 3 more to be skillful, foreign footballers for me. Players comfortable on the ball.
 

NEA if he's a ratbag kopite, all I care about is what he can do on the pitch for us and whether he will give his all in a derby.
Should we sign him, once he steps on that pitch wearing a blue shirt he has my support

Cleverley's quite neat on the ball and Dann is alright. With Stone's ability on the ball I don't think it will matter as much at the back. Deffo need that guile in the final third though.

Don't buy it I am afraid. Sorry. Only the elite British footballers, and there are not many, can play the continental style. And Cleverley and Dann are not that...

Have you watched Cleverley this season Kithnou when he was playing for Sherwood?

He is genuinely good on the ball when confident - one touch passes to teammates and then quickly moving into space to receive the ball back.
