I have said that Keane was a don deal since January and I stand by that. Not ITK, just the way Koeman spoke about it in Jan.

There has only really been one proper tranny window since then, January and very few clubs spend big in Jan. Let's give them this window before doing an Everton and writing them off shall we.

Yes but the transfer policy under Martinez is the same now if not worse, we needed players in lot of position so we went out and blew half our budget last season on bolasie

We need 2 quality CBs but Williams will be starting next season no matter what so I think we'll only buy one

When you say 150m are you talking net spend? In which case I agree with you. However I will be shocked if we don't spend at least 150 considering that I think we will have close to that coming in.

Net spend really doesn't matter because we will be selling to buy under Moshiri so always will have next to nothing net, or heavily minus if you factor in TV money.



I think Barkley will stay and maybe even Gerri.


It's unrealistic to think we'll have over 50M net but I wish the money he claimed was bid last summer on Koulibaily and Co actually showed up.

Obviously if Lukaku and Barkley go then I think we will. I think even if one of those stayed, say Lukaku, I think we will go and spend around £100m or slightly more. We need to be spending that and more regardless if Moshiri is as ambitious as he makes out to be! He said this is a window of opportunity for us and we can't become a museum so that would suggest he's putting the money up. And I know you can't take everyone suntan Bob says as gospel but even he said it's going to be the biggest summer in our history and big investments are going to be made and tbh, with the new shirt & FF sponsor in place, it allows us to go spend well on fees and wages. Obviously selling fringe players will help even more but even before selling the likes of Lukaku & Barkley, we need to be spending £100m plus easily to keep us in with a shout of sticking in there to compete with the top 6. If we're all honest I think we all know we need to spend a lot more than that, but £150m plus to £200m I can't see that being spent if I'm honest but we all know it needs to be cos the teams above are doing it!

But imo, and this is based on Lukaku going, we need 6 players for the first team max, and that's being refined. We need a GK, personally I think we need 2 CB's but I'm guessing only one will be bought for the first team. We need a more attack minded CM to give us goals and creativity and we need an whole new front 3. Now wether that is one main CF and 2 wide players or 3 attackers with differing attributes and versatility to em I don't know but imo that's what we need, and then obviously a few more to make the bench and squad as an whole much much stronger.

Now towards the end of the season Koeman was talking about improving as he wants to kick on and push for the CL so if that's the case then we do need to bring in a fair few players of good quality to improve us all round! Wether we do that or not, time will tell, but it needs to happen.

All 3 are very good players, prospects that would be really good signings for us!

Christensen is by a way the best of those, if Chelsea are willing to sell we should be all over it when discussing lukaku

Definitely. But it seems Conte really likes him, pushed numerous times to get him back early. But if Chelsea do sign a Bonucci or Rudiger for the first team then one, possibly 2 from him, Ake or Zouma are going to be left out a lot and won't be happy with that. So one of them could possibly become available so we should be asking the question definitely!

All sounds bites at this stage, the action we've seen suggests he's implemented a sell to buy policy, if you took away the warchest stories and the texts he sends to Jim White away you'd see Barkley and Ross being onto him and wanting out, mediocre staff brought in and no increase in spending power.


I think the window of opportunity he was referring to was to solidify best of the rest, as the top6 are miles ahead and every signing like Martina will take us further away. 12 Months ago Stoke and West Ham was running away from us, we clawed them back but the transfer plan of buying rejects and over paying for premier league players will take us nowhere.

Barkley will not be leaving this summer as no one wants him
