Need to sign at least 4 defenders. Need left back as not much left in the tank for baines , 3 centre back as Jags sprint yesterday against Can showed he is finished , fumes mori is no use and williams not doing it for us ... holgate will be ok and hopefully Seamus can come back Strong . Need to get a good look at some of the youngsters .. Kenny might be able to step up .. Pennington also might be ok ... tough start for lad yesterday ... not sure where we are with browning ...also yesterday for me answered the keeper question... we need a new one ! Joel out of position for me for all 3 goals ... the positive is money for the Ckev and Niasse will help us and hopefully we will splash the cash as well ... final part is we need much stronger captain. When the ref was talking to jags and Milner yesterday jags just stood there while Milner ranted ... need stronger character to lead the team forward ... overall I am happy we are making progress and that Koeman will get us there !
Yes I said to my mate at the time, look at Jags, say something ffs, we need to join the real World, Ron had a winge about the r/s bench being on the backs of the officials and how crazy they were. well I think we should join the party.

Buy Chris Wood please.
Really ? Not particularly sold on him, think he's very good at C-Ship level but would be a gamble. Has good hold up play and a knack for goals at that level, as to how well that translates for the money we'd have to pay...

I still can't believe there are some people on here that would have Rooney back. He has been in a sharp decline for at least 3 years. He would still command a massive wage which would compromise our ability to recruit in other areas due to FFP. It would send a terrible message about the direction of the club if we sold Rom and signed Rooney.

If he comes back, the wages won't be astronomical. Have him back on a 2 year contract. And I know that games like yesterday, we could have done with a Wayne Rooney for sure. If not for his playing ability, for his leadership and guidance he would show on the pitch. He's won everything at club level there is to win, so having a player like that in the team would rub off on the bottlers that played yesterday.

Somewhere between 'Amazing' and 'Fabulous'...
I always thought of super as less than amazing and fabulous. I mean super is really good n' all, as superman proves but amazing and fabulous are way out. There's just no one out there good enough to be called amazing man or fabulous man.

He will be our highest earner by a country mile which in itself could create a problem

Still think if Rom goes to Chelsea for 50 mil plus Michy B we could have ourselves a really good deal. £50 mil would buy us Maguire, Pickford and Siggy.
A new core of the team, would still need others coming in but that wouldn't be a bad start Imo

Why are people talking about Maguire, he is a overweight cart horse, serious step back if we want European football every year.......Maguire....FFS

Where do we start.....

New GK to replace Joel.
New right back to cover Seamus
New left back to replace Baines
2 new Centre halves of proper quality
New midfielder to replace Mccarthy and Besic
New attacking midfielder of high quality
New wide players
New Striker
Another new striker if we sell Rom.

And I don't even think I'm overexaggerating the situation either. We need that many players. Be surprised we plug half those holes. Absolutely pivotal period coming up.

This is ace this. We get beat in a derby so all your virgins pounce in here and start offering Transfer solutions based on your video games you lamentable bunch of Geordie lizards.

Come on mate, it's not just yesterday's game though is it. Look at the performance at Spurs, Chelsea & Man Utd at Goodison. We weren't great. These are the games that show how far you really are from the big boys and we're miles away!

It's alright being convincing against the "lesser" team shall we say and then coming away and thinking, yeah, we're not bad really, one or two quality signings and we'll be in the mix for the top spots next season. Really in those games that your expected to win, should win, you don't really learn a great deal about yourselves but in games against the top teams you do, and like yesterday, and at Spurs and Chelsea, we never turned up, never got going or showed enough and that's down to the quality, mentality and character of our players and we lack a load of those things.

You look at the team and we do have some good individuals. Joel is good but we can do better. The FB's are good. Williams is decent but put him with Jags and it's a car crash waiting to happen! Mori is decent but we need better. At CB we don't have a good enough pairing and it needs addressing.

In CM Schneiderlin is class and looks to be the sitter for Koeman in the 3. Then we have Gueye & Davies in there who imo are quite similar in style but have their own qualities. McCarthy is a bit similar to those 2 aswell I feel so there's a bit of a muchness about our CM. We do need something a bit different in there, a player that will go forward but make things happen and want to get goals and will get goals. Of late Davies as been the one to go forward and make late runs into the box but he's not entirely effective playing that role. He's been involved and created a bit but he's not one to get goals, and Gueye isn't that kind of player either. Could Barkley be dropped into the 3 to play that role? Possibly, but I'm not sure Koeman trusts him in a deeper start of position in CM and that's why he's using him out wide to accommodate Davies being in the centre.

Then that brings another issue for us, using a player like Barkley out wide. Is that going to be the solution in the long run, in Koeman's preferred 4-3-3 formation? I don't think so! So we will need another wide option or 2 cos with Bolasie out, Koeman not seeming so keen on Mirallas all of a sudden or Deulofeu, Lennon out of the picture and Lookman still very raw, we don't have great options for out wide!

And up front we know the score. If Lukaku stays, and it's a big IF right now, we still need another CF that will help Rom, keep him on his toes, push him but also be able to play with him at times and do a job. If he goes then we will need 2 strikers, maybe even 3 to try and accommodate the loss of his goals?!

So if the club and Koeman are serious about our ambitions and wanting to challenge the top four and for honours, then we need to get the quality and numbers in to do just that, simple as.
