After yesterday it's time for Mosh to splash the cash
It showed our depth is not strong enough and a lot of our first 11 are not good enough
A lot of the mediocrity had to be got rid of
So out go
Lennon 6/7 million
Naisse 12 million
Besic 10 million
McCarthy 20 million
Jags free
Kone free
Steks free
Barry free
Delefeuo 20 million
Looking at 60 / 70 million there
If the 30 million Sissoko money is there and 60 from this year that's 150 million to spend
I'd like to see a first team / second choice along these lines

Forster/Robles
Holgate / Coleman
Baines / Tierney or Robertson
Keane /Williams
Koubailly / Pennington
Schnederlin/krychowiak(outstanding when at Sevilla now not getting a game at PSG
Idrissa/Tielemans
Siggy or Mata or Fabregas/ROSS
Bolassie /Mirallas
Davies /Rooney
Rom /Bernardi

Put in a few young lads and we've a squad for Europa and league.
A domestic cup would be nice but top 4 or if we get it handy like united did this year the EL is not out of reach.

That would be boss but unrealistic imo. Not having a dig or anything but I just can't see it. Especially with likes of Koulibaly, Mata, Fabregas & Berardi of Sassualo is that who your talking about? Some top teams, CL clubs will want players like those and that's why we wouldn't have a chance of signing them, regardless of if money talks like some think, but it didn't last summer did it so we need to learn from that....

I still can't believe there are some people on here that would have Rooney back. He has been in a sharp decline for at least 3 years. He would still command a massive wage which would compromise our ability to recruit in other areas due to FFP. It would send a terrible message about the direction of the club if we sold Rom and signed Rooney.

Yeah but have Utd as an whole been great in that time aswell? No, they've been in decline as a club also. We're the only move for Rooney that would reinvigorate his career, give him that last swan song of his career, plus he's a leader, a winner and has that big game mentality about him that our team seriously lacks. He'd be great for us for a couple of season, wouldn't just be a good player, but a great character around the place that will rub off on the rest as he's been there, seen it and done it!

We may not get the exact players I said but it's players of that ilk
Mata is not really rated by Jose and if united get their targets then he will be available, I can see Siggy moving either way.
The Sassulo lad has never really been a transfer target of the bigger clubs so the right money and he could be available.
We have to show ambition and if it means paying slightly over the odds so be it.

Don't know mate, Juve have been keen to sign Berardi for years. Inter are now keen and Pochettino is a big admirer and tried signing him the other season so it would be tough to compete against those teams right now but I agree, that's the kind of players we should be looking at. Tbf that Berardi would be ideal for Koeman's preferred 4-3-3 system out on the right, cutting in and making things happen on his left. I just hope in the summer we don't piss about when looking for players of that ilk to go into our system like we did with Gabbiadini!....

I do think Sigurdsson will be a top target. By all accounts we wanted him last summer and made moves in January, according to local journalists in Swansea, and Koeman is a big fan so there could be some mileage in that, especially cos Walsh also recommended that Leicester try and sign him last summer before he switched to us!...

Come on mate, it's not just yesterday's game though is it. Look at the performance at Spurs, Chelsea & Man Utd at Goodison. We weren't great. These are the games that show how far you really are from the big boys and we're miles away!

It's alright being convincing against the "lesser" team shall we say and then coming away and thinking, yeah, we're not bad really, one or two quality signings and we'll be in the mix for the top spots next season. Really in those games that your expected to win, should win, you don't really learn a great deal about yourselves but in games against the top teams you do, and like yesterday, and at Spurs and Chelsea, we never turned up, never got going or showed enough and that's down to the quality, mentality and character of our players and we lack a load of those things.

You look at the team and we do have some good individuals. Joel is good but we can do better. The FB's are good. Williams is decent but put him with Jags and it's a car crash waiting to happen! Mori is decent but we need better. At CB we don't have a good enough pairing and it needs addressing.

In CM Schneiderlin is class and looks to be the sitter for Koeman in the 3. Then we have Gueye & Davies in there who imo are quite similar in style but have their own qualities. McCarthy is a bit similar to those 2 aswell I feel so there's a bit of a muchness about our CM. We do need something a bit different in there, a player that will go forward but make things happen and want to get goals and will get goals. Of late Davies as been the one to go forward and make late runs into the box but he's not entirely effective playing that role. He's been involved and created a bit but he's not one to get goals, and Gueye isn't that kind of player either. Could Barkley be dropped into the 3 to play that role? Possibly, but I'm not sure Koeman trusts him in a deeper start of position in CM and that's why he's using him out wide to accommodate Davies being in the centre.

Then that brings another issue for us, using a player like Barkley out wide. Is that going to be the solution in the long run, in Koeman's preferred 4-3-3 formation? I don't think so! So we will need another wide option or 2 cos with Bolasie out, Koeman not seeming so keen on Mirallas all of a sudden or Deulofeu, Lennon out of the picture and Lookman still very raw, we don't have great options for out wide!

And up front we know the score. If Lukaku stays, and it's a big IF right now, we still need another CF that will help Rom, keep him on his toes, push him but also be able to play with him at times and do a job. If he goes then we will need 2 strikers, maybe even 3 to try and accommodate the loss of his goals?!

So if the club and Koeman are serious about our ambitions and wanting to challenge the top four and for honours, then we need to get the quality and numbers in to do just that, simple as.

That's why Koeman and Steve Walsh earn millions mate. Do you think you're in a position to critique their scouting and play acquisition strategy?

We can't FIFA 17 our way to greatness.

But that's our problem now in central defence, they're too slow, we need a bit of pace there, but we also need a dominating force. I keep saying we only need one centre back but I don't think you can very tall and fast ha
Agreed. Given our defensive record this season, I think the problems are less dire than what some say. That said, the current crop we have always struggled with quick and/or pacy players that the top teams generally have. We need a CB or 2 that are agile and have some speed. Keep Williams and Funes, sign two more and rotate as needed.

Juve actually bought Beradi , loaned him back and then never took up the option to bring him back and sold him back to Sassulo.
Sassulo are in 15/16 in La Liga so guaranteed European football with us might swing it.
He would not be a regular starter with Spurs.
We don't know till we try and hopefully try early.
Siggy would also be ideal.
Take some of the pressure off Barkley.
Whatever happens it's a summer we have to use to make a major statement.
That's why I think we didn't commit ourselves financially to a big initial outlay for the stadium.
Moshiri knows the squad needs re building
Hence the 75 m of Usmanovs money in sponsorship.

As fans we are all entitled to.
They may pay no heed to us but as fans at every club do we let off steam voice our opinions and dream of greatness
That's what being a fan means.
