About 2 weeks til the start of pre-season, nobody's bid yet for Lukaku and Barkley but that's alright because the window's still closed.

I'm liking what we've done so far, and I imagine we're not even close to finished with this window. I haven't seen us look like we mean business like this for a decade since the 2007 window when we brought in Jagielka, Baines, Pienaar(on loan), and Yakubu.

In Holland, Dolberg, Sanchez and De Ligt are the ones...Jorgensen wont cut the physicality.

Dembele did well at Fulham and finds it easy in Scotland, Tierney seems like the one to go for there though.

As for Lukaku, I think he would probably stay if we went and brought in a truly top player like VVD or Koulibaly...

No disrespect to the new boys and the names linked but at Chelsea he would be favourite for a winners medal, we need to show we will go for the top stars to turn his head.

VVD/Koulibaly or similar level players would do that.

Lukaku wouldnt stay if we signed Messi.

He wants to go to Chelsea, the only way he stays if they dont bid, like last year.

Right now we have

Sandro (imminent)

So with Rom likely leaving us, I think it's fair to say we need two strikers. Last season there was a few games where having no options on the bench really cost us, and if we want a good Europa run, we need strikers in imo.
