From what ive seen his finishing is decent, the rest of his game lets him down.

He's not the worst finisher in the world but he does seem to want to blast the ball home. But he's another striker that wants to play on the shoulder and Sandro is the same but he has more about him and his game than Gray does but their of a similar fashion and I don't see the sense in us going for Gray?

Hahaha so build a squad full Andre Grays mmmmm! Would deffo fancy me chances getting 3 points at the pit or OT if we had that midget from France..

BTW am happy with the business we have done so far, I just don't see why we shouldn't be going for a higher quality player than we have done in the past

We dont need to close the gap, we dont need a STATEMENT signing, mind you, we did make 2 of them last week, we need to improve the squad, does adding Andre Gray improve the squad? Yes, does adding Pickford, Klassen improve the squad? Yes.

Stop looking at what other teams are doing, we dont have to beat them on paper, we have to beat them on grass, focus on Everton, has the player that Everton just signed improved the squad? Has the player that Everton just sold made the squad worse off? Did we replace the player just sold?

And so on, no point worrying what the teams above us or below us do, its about building a squad.

We are trying to catch the teams above us, we should be at least trying for players like this? No?? It at least sends a signal out to all other potential targets we mean business.. us signing Pickford Klassen and Ramirez is good but is it enough to bridge the gap if they are signing Lacazette etc.. I don't think so..

Not saying we shouldn't try but if it came down to a choice of us or Arsenal then 9/10 they would choose Arsenal for the fact that their usually CL regulars and do seem to be in a better position than us to go and compete for cups and even the league.

I dont myself mate, I suppose hes hard working and has pace, he can also put the ball in the net, as I say, talent wise, its not the worst signing.

Hes come from the lower leagues, so should still have the hunger, the danger is that he sees Everton as his "pinnacle" and takes his foot off, he has the potential to go from bellend to total bellend, hes very unlikebale, thats my major issue regards him and Deeney, both fairly decent players, but any talent is overridden by the fact that you wouldnt tire of smashing their head off a kerb.

I don't have an issue others do with employing blerts, it's likely the majority are anyway but are prob that bit sharper or media savy. We want them to play football not run a crèche.

I actually like both Andre and Deeney, Deeney is at the peak of his development wouldn't be a business savy signing. I do expect him to have a massive year next year, Silva will get an extra 5-8 goals out of him.

Have watched Grey a lot, he has raw potential and talent and asked to do a job in a turgid Burnley team left alone and isolated. I think their is a 15-20 goal striker there. Power, pace, endeavour and hungry if his talent can be honed there is a very good PL player there. In a different team in a different set up I think he could be top. The business end of the deal make it a no brainier, a reported 10 mill for a young established PL striker who can achieve double digits, if it doesn't work out you get twice that back at least.

I think he's going to enter a group competing with Rom, Sandro, and likely support no 10 players in Davy and hopefully Siggy. Getting in the team is motivation, while that's rich depth.

Pretty much a low risk deal and I believe we scouted for him three years.

I started agreeing with this but then you hit a fork in the road for me when you started comparing buying Lacazette. I was hoping you would continue in the vain that we are hoovering up the best youngsters from the rest in the same way Arsenal/Utd historically done or City and Chelsea try to now. Steering off and saying we only buying potential ignores, Klassan and Sandro being established and (hopefully) home and hosed.

Building a team based on what the manager wants rather than what makes people jizz.

If Andre Gray is deemed a necessary acquisition then so be it. I can see why he's wanted, he's fast and energetic and he'll close the space quick when pressing

Think the proof will be in the pudding when it comes to our new players. The 3 we've signed, or are going to sign, to me are of the quality to step up. Ok their probably not the kind of players the top sides in Europe will take, although Atl. Madrid wanted Sandro badly and even Rome were looking at Klaassen, but their definitely good enough for us and to improve us and if we can make a few more shrewd signings like these then we should be fine and hopefully we can bridge the gap next season?!....

Juve have just signed Douglas Costa, Roma supposedly have a strong interest in Deulofeu

Roma do seem really keen by all accounts, and Juve have always been keen. Not sure if they have first dibs on him still or wether that agreement ran out? But he seems to have a good head on his shoulders and won't just jump at the chance to join the first big club that's in for him.

He'd be a great coup for the likes of us IF we're genuinely interested in him?!

I also have no major issue with his words on social media if im totally honest, im not defending them, they were horrid and he should be ashamed, young un or not, but I cant say ive never said something horrid, that would be a lie.

For 10m, it makes total sense, I agree with this.

Sorry mate, regardless of however good a player he is / couid be, I just can't get past the fact that he is a total and utter knob jockey.

If he came to us and got a big pay rise, I'd fully expect to see him gurning around the city centre, with two pneumatic tango birds on his arm and a white moustache.
