Watched Giroud in the FA cup final,
he came on with about 15 minutes to go and he sprinted with the defender for the ball and got left for dead, he gave up,
i thought how slow is that guy, he looked like he could barely get out of a walk.
So what? Much more to the game than speed. Very good finisher, good in the air, good hold up play. He's currently keeping players like Mbappe, Lacazette, and Dembele out of the French side...

Multiple articles written today. Google can probably help you out if you want more info. Idk what links are allowed vs. not anymore.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed he held talks with Olivier Giroud over a summer move but the striker still hopes to be Arsenal's first-choice striker.

Standard Sport understands Giroud will be allowed to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer and a £20 million price tag has been placed on his head, with West Ham interested.

Arsenal have discussed the possibility of using the striker as a makeweight in a deal to sign Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette and for the ongoing pursuit of Monaco star Kylian Mbappe.

Aulas has confirmed interest as they look to sign a "top European attacker" but insists any decision on Giroud rests with Arsene Wenger.

"There has been an approach, at some point, for Giroud," Aulas told L'Equipe. "He is a boy that we like, who scores lots of goals and who has a lot of ambition for Russia [the 2018 World Cup].

"He told me personally that he wanted to take his time, that things were not completely defined with Arsenal, that he had a secret hope that he would be the number one striker next season.

"The key is Arsene Wenger. We are watching. We will try to very quickly sign a top European attacker."

It baffles me that both Everton and England play him at right back when he is a centre half.
Only because the injury to Coleman is he playing RB for us, I can't understand it for England. Maybe the manager is trying to get all his best players on the pitch, even allowing that holgate is being played out of position.
