We need a bigger and better squad.

Obviously it depends on who you're releasing does it not? Retaining dross simply to fill squad positions is not making our squad any better.

Ideally we need to make our starting XI the best it can be, with a few looks at the greater squad, and then starting adding depth over time.

The only problem is that with Europe, and all the demands that it will bring, it will not be as easy as that due to the extra games we'll play.

He is only fit for playing Ireland so I don't think it's benefit to the club. Koeman was [Poor language removed] I think he will get his players in instead.

Don't want to overstate his ability but he's certainly a good defender who has experience at the highest level of domestic and European football.

Obviously I would prefer higher-calibre players in the long-term future, but for the right price it wouldn't be a bad addition to the squad.
