Their (Chelsea's) ability to sell young talent on for significant money, never ceases to amaze me. 6m for Atsu, Traore 9m and they are even talking 20m for ake the lad who was on loan at Bournemouth.
I'm hoping if some of our under 23 team do t make it with us, then we are able to do something similar.

Only for elite CL squads would you get away with manager's hoarding players like that...clubs that are looking at 50 odd games per season and seriously in the hunt for three or four trophies. That's not us.

We will have 38 league games.

2 x EL qualifiers. Assuming we progress..

Minimum 6 EL group games.

So that's 46 games without any progression from EL.

We'd then have to get knocked out in the first round of both domestic cups to play fewer than 50 games this season.

It is entirely feasible we might play 55+ games this season and we need a squad that can cope with that.
