Good evening mein frandels, and welcome to the fifth week of the Weasel Index.

This captures data from June 21st - June 27th.

What is the Weasel Index? Find out here https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/summer-transfer-window-2017.94428/page-846#post-5473408

This time, an excellent gif provided by the peerless @Sapie88

This week saw a much lighter sprinkling of Weasel Sightings - in no doubt due to the decline in Sandro discussions - and a generally quiet time on the rumour front.

Until yesterday, where all of a sudden, we had MOVEMENT.

Weasel Index Updates:

For goodness Ake, @Saint Domingo thinks we could be in for Nathan

https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/summer-transfer-window-2017.94428/page-1838#post-5553955

Can't be anyone watching Belgian second division football can there really? WRONG. @II McColl II has you covered

An early candidate for @themole10 ITK God List - but not signed yet, so on @mccole goes. Have good feelings here.

Moderation Team?!?!?! @AndyC gave us three updates on Sandro.

https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/sandro-ramirez.96518/page-384#post-5549755

No beef with bully here - @bullybeef thinks a deal is in the offaling for Brozovic

https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/summer-transfer-window-2017.94428/page-1743#post-5546759

Disaster for @toffee66 - Sandro wasn't signed last week. 'Doubled down' - quadruple Weasel Point

https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/sandro-ramirez.96518/page-339#post-5545236

Another one for Super Weasel @Raino85 - Keane done

https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/transfer-rumour-michael-keane.97029/page-7#post-5534250

The inside track - however temporary (
@DerbyshireAndHarper ) on Burnley's financial situation, and how it affects our pursuit of Gray and Keane - @Lune1878

https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/transfer-rumour-michael-keane.97029/page-9#post-5544396

Some thoughts:

  • Lots of nice new names on there this week. I am delighted to see Weasel Breeding continues on this upward trajectory.
  • @AndyC doing a quick-fire hattrick in there, incredible, wasn't expecting it.
  • Still no quality sightings of a couple of Perennial Weasels. But I've not given up hope.
  • We are so, so close to this list going into mayhem with @themole10 god status being bestowed. So close. Might even happen tonight, but that's the danger of print journalism I suppose.
As ever, it is the Weasel Hunters who do all the hard yards. This is simply a collection, a recording of their work.
This is the best thing I've seen on here for absolute beards.

Daft money is daft money wherever it comes from...and where it comes from is the Lukaku sale being shuffled forward.

We can ill afford to be spending scarce resources on an unproven kid and then not even playing him.

WTF is going on down at that club when clueless decisions like this are being made?

Here you go again..
But seriously. Have you ever got anything blinking positive to say? All you ever dribble is negativity. We've had DCL and Lookman for a year and 6 months respectively, they are both young, have both showed glimpses of magic yet you've wrote them off already.

Roberto Martinez had absolutely no idea what defensive football is, how you can defend this fella is beyond me. It was brilliant in his first season because the most part, we kept a fully fit team with complete bosses in centre midfield. He made good signings, yes but to put faith into those signings to be quality for years to come was ridiculous. The revolt of signings he made far outweighs the good ones. The bloke just didn’t seem to take any feedback, from anyone.

I was highly skeptical of Koeman to begin with and critical. It was a big change from seeing us play Barcelona-lite to some high pressure style and being the most boring side to watch toward the latter part of 2017 – but he changed our form around and we became incredibly exciting, particularly at home.

He has made nothing but positive signings. He has a bloke tailing him who helped win flaming Leicester the damn league, LEICESTER CITY.

But yeah – back on to it, calm off the kitten rack and for once in your posts can you try to be half glass empty, not glass completely empty. Because your posts were boring and meaningless at first, but now they are just annoying. They are backed up with nothing and you come across almost as if you are actually anti-everton/koptite, whatever you want call it.

Drinkums mate, lighten up.

I've got absolutely no idea how both of those work so I'll take your word on it
I'm sitting on a beach in Maui enjoying all the activity and transfer rumours.
It's FIFA 17 on steroids to some posters
Surely better things to ogle on a beach in Maui than football rumours... HEY LADS !!

...Wednesday's rumour round up;

- According to The Times, Everton will tie up the Sandro Ramirez deal by Saturday. However, Spanish publication, Marca, report Real Madrid interest in the player.

- The Nottingham Post links Brendan Galloway with a move to Forest.

- Many outlets say Henry Onyekuru has completed a medical ahead of a £7m move to Everton.

- The Mail report that Everton are pushing ahead with a £25m move for Michael Keane. The Express says the defender has chosen Everton ahead of Liverpool.

- The Telegraph suggests Everton are keeping tabs on Sheffield United youngster, David Brooks.

Important to add the times piece about Sandro being done also states there is no buy out clause included in his contract and is written by Paul Joyce.

You could be surfing and / or blimping the women, but no, you are weaselling.

Tremendous dedication to the cause.

@orly can we give the man some bonus points please ?

The news is getting thinner by the day there Eggs ?

Actually a good thing really, means no leaks from the club, and as importantly the agents of the players and selling clubs of players we are signing aren't leaking stuff either, which would suggest we are being taken a hell of a lot more serious by players, agents and clubs now.

Another weird thing the media linking big clubs with interest in players like Sandro and the young Nigerian lad is good for our clubs reputation abroad as well as it looks on the surface like players are choosing us ahead of them - even though in reality it's just click bait
