Does this apply to players who signed a pre contract agreement in January who have six months left on their contract as well. Plus players who are deemed surplus to requirements at their current club and cannot get a game, can't his agent be out there looking for another club?
 
If Lukaku doesn't go, about how much money could we spend this summer under FFP rules? Surely not that much, if last summer is anything to go by. Sell, invest heavily in the rest of the team.

Come off it mate. Don't make utterly stupid assumptions, just because a player doesn't play in the "best league in der werld" doesn't mean they aren't good players that would majorly improve us.

I've not touched FM in my life either so I don't know where you're coming from there.

If he *really* wanted him to stay would he be looking to sell because he didn't sign the contract? Sounds to me like he's not arsed whether he stays or goes.

Your perception needs some work. Did you miss the point about wanting Barkley to stay and trying everything possible to make him stay? The selling of a player with one year left on their contract is a business decision irrespective of who the player is. "Sounds to me". Read more, digest more and type less.

He simply pointed out the fact that you don't pass up a £25mil profit if the player 'refuses' to sign.

At this stage there's been no refusal as there's been no contract officially tabled, as far as we're aware.
