Fail to see any reason why he isn't. As the poster above said, only thing he's not as good at is the strength aspect.

He's not as direct, has no pace and rarely beats a man for starters.

Yes it does matter as we aren't a Pulis team who only score from set pieces.

We aren't but we still need consistent delivery at set pieces. Even our greatest team in my lifetime scored a fair percentage of goals from set pieces, courtesy of sheedy's left foot. Indeed I think mountfield scored something like 15 goals that season. We desperately need better quality at set pieces, to add to the attacking threat we already possess. Two great corners from miralles in Sunday was the difference between us winning and drawing the game. Imagine that consistently produced game in game out, be it from sigurdsson or another creative player.

Obviously mate but the point here is the people thinking Gylfi would be a like for like replacement for Ross. He wouldn't be as good as he is.

Gylfi can also play as a lone striker like he did against us at home in a false 9, I do hope we get him, just not as a replacement for Ross.

Why do all our linked players have to be replacements? What if we sign Rooney and Sigurdsson to play with Rom and Ross? If we want to be challenging for 4th as well as have a good run in the Europa League, we need as many quality players and options as we can, especially attacking wise.
