Summer Transfer Window 2017

In the last 10 days, carragher, Quinn, Danny Murphy, Robbie Fowler and now David James have all commented on Everton's transfer dealings. In comparison I've seen don Hutchinson and Alan Stubbs.
Why is this? Is it due to RS biased media, or are they genuinely a little concerned about the 'bitter blues' or a bit of both. In my lifetime I've never seen so many ex RS players speaking about Everton.

One thing is for certain from that little nest of vipers there won't be many complimentary comments coming our way will there? From the one in denial, to the snivelling patronising one, to the fat one of which there is no dispute, to the Cameroonian line dancing one and the bankrupt one, why aren't you convinced of their independent expert opinion and insight of our summer transfer business?

There are more important things to worry about, such as Lawro predicting another unbeaten season for the deluded ones! Just enjoy the sound bites - one day, hopefully in my lifetime, it'll turn. Until we start beating the pride of Oslo home and away on a regular basis it's an irritation we'll just have to put up with I'm afraid.

I suggested taking either of them on loan. Get Kenny a full season on loan in the Championship to get some experience.

Well as ive said, Ronny should have a better idea of Kennys "current level" in the next few weeks, think a decision regards this will be made before the window closes, Martina can cover a number of roles in the team, think hes just a warm body more than anything.

Cover in every position is a strange concept. It goes against the Total Football idea, no?

Players at this level should be able to fill in various positions.
By the same token I am so sick of square pegs in round holes! How long did we have to put up with Osman at right midfield, Coleman right wing, Eto'o left wing etc.
We can clearly afford a huge squad so why not have strength in depth? A big part of tottenhams great season last year was their excellent wing back cover.

To be fair, the pace concerns are justified, a little, we do seem to be collecting players with little pace, but none of them are Berba slow.

And we do already have a few pacey players Lennon if he catches some form, Lookman isnt slow, even Tom Davies and Klaassen are both able to drive with the ball at pace, Sandro doesnt look slow. We wont be playing counter attacking football, we will be playing pressing football.

There isnt a player in the world who can run faster than a well placed pass.
On your last statement I reckon Bescic could

Inter now enquiring United about a swap deal, Perisic for Martial.

Hasn't been on our radar but the opportunity was there given the Rom deal. Had that been the case we would have still had room for another striker, say Giroud. Options of Sandro, Rooney, Martial and Giroud, how good would that have been? Got all qualities you want covered there.

Now Martial hasn't been on form for a while now, but for a reduced fee he's worth a look for any team (No idea what United value him at) but has a lot of potential and quality still unfulfilled.

Not saying we should go for him, but an interesting player nonetheless, and perhaps the calibre of player we should be looking at.

Hope you are right.

In fairness - even as an America if he came from the MLS I would totally agree. In this case however he was born and raised in Germany. Plays for the US because of his serviceman father. Big 6'4" Athletic, ball playing CB, good in the air.

I know mate, it was weak bait.

It didnt catch any fish, cant say ive watched the lad, but to cost 17m in Germany I assume hes very highly rated.
