Crystal Palace are trying to gazump Stoke City by sealing a £12.5 million move for Bruno Martins Indi and swell the growing Dutch enclave at Selhurst Park.

A deal has been agreed between Palace and Porto for the Holland defender who would join Ajax’s Jairo Riedewald in south London. Riedewald is expected to finalise a £7.5 million switch in the coming days and join up with manager Frank de Boer again.

He would fit the bill in the sense he can cover centre half and left full back. He was meant to be off to palace, but now with their interest in Indi, I wonder if he have stepped in?

Strange as they certainly aren't short at left back, or at CB really.

Riedewald would be a buy similar to when you are out in the supermarket buying essentials and you see a 12 bag of mini cheddars on the end cap for £1.

Worth adding for extra depth but not a priority as you have already set your sights on some extra special cracker bread and and a cheese platter during the big shop later in the week.
