Ferguson and Kanchelskis would be around the £80m mark according to those mark up stats.

About £30m for Duncan and closer to £40m for Kanchelskis.

It calculates it by looking at average prices for players overall, same index used to calculate retail prices over time. So it's a relative thing about comparing how expensive players are compared to each other, not saying how much a club invested etc

Hmm.

Not sure on Kenny mate.

Think Koeman's going to give the lad every chance to impress in pre-season and have him and Martina for that role, with Holgate as third choice, until Coleman is back.

We'll see though.

Dowell I think it may well depend on the Ross situation.

If it looks like Ross will stay, or we're going to bring in two attacking mids, then yeh Dowell should go out (I've said before, Barnsley would be a great move for him).

But if Ross goes, I'd be happy with Dowell as back up for that role with Gylfi/Rooney/Bolasie (when he's back) etc ahead of him.

I just think in a season where we need to show significant progress, I still believe we will buy big and allow the kids out on loan, as too many of them will still be seen as not really trying to make strides on the sides above us.

You could be right with Kenny, as he does show great promise, but beyond him, Davies, Lookman and DCL, I think the rest might be sent out for experience.

FWIW, my mate works at Elland Road in the hospitality section. Was in for a meeting and saw Pennington on the way out. Recognised him and text me asking if I knew anything about it...

I thought I'd be jarg index king

No chance Mourinho will let him go mate, regardless of his specialist bullcrap about players, he always liked a utility player as well

No idea who we may go for, the obvious hope is for a absolutely top class player there - but all depends really on availability of them

I know mate. I know :(

Explain please.

Thats basically our second choice cb injured and was looking to be shipped off anyway, our third choice being Jagielka who looks utterly washed up, our 4th choice being loaned out, and another who could cover there being loaned also.

talking about prior to Keane arriving, 100% we need to sign a starting calibre cb now mate, and don't think it'll be a utility one either
