...not sure why Wenger is a stumbling block. From all accounts Koeman spoke with Giroud some weeks ago on the telephone which suggests Arsenal have given permission for that to happen.

I know this will massively divide opinion and I'm aware of the negatives but surely getting in Nasri for a nominal fee or a loan to play behind a strainer would be more cost effective and could even be a better option than Gylfi?

Bring in Giroud and Sig and our squad is far superior than last season. Even with the losses of Rom and Ross.

Hmm they must really want a successor for Carrick I guess . He also complains to the referee a lot, one of Mourinho's favourite traits. Risky move though. Not sure what will happen now tbf.

Better to follow the Tielemans route. He was excellent yesterday against PSG. All the French newspapers etc were very positive. He was voted top-player. Mbappe was horrible -it happens young player.

Yeh I watched the Monaco game I thought he did pretty well; I was a little nervous for him playing in a two against their very good 3 (always had a massive soft spot for the way Motta plays). I forgot to look back but was it his or Fabinho's pass that set up Sidibe's goal? Mbappe started okay but he gets frustrated quickly and then his movement stops. Having said that PSG dominated the entire second half.

Maybe Wenger isn't confident of replacing both Sanchez and Giroud without the CL to tempt players? Best they could get was Lacazette and I think he's overrated tbh.

Gylfi, Giroud and Lemos would be a nice trio to bring in with 2 of those going straight into the starting XI, 3 depending on how soon Lemos can settle in.

I think we would be in good shape for the season.
