Leicester signing Inheanacho for £25m. Really surprised we didn't make a move for him. Would offer better value for money than 31 year old Giroud.

No i wouldn't. I want players who can beat a man in short space. Gray is a player who needs a lot of space.

Heard we did enquire for him along with a host of other clubs

But city are insisting on one of these stupid by back clauses similar to what Barcelona had with the Spanish kid

Hence only really hearing of Leicester interest

It was more than a bit tongue in cheek like but he's not the worse choice in the world as a back stop emergency. TBH, if we're going to bring in a new CB I'd rather bring in somebody who will improve the starting XI rather than be cover for numerous positions. I'd go for Gibson personally and I know you're a fan too. Then next summer bring in a proper left back to cover and ultimately replace Baines.

I'm not sure GazBaz was such a great player at 25 actually. He's one of those rare players that kept himself fit and has improved with age/experience.
Rafael thought he was good enough to replace alonso in his prime. Saying that we should be eternally grateful for Barry. Alonso got the hump with Liverpool's report interest and left, mascherano went soon after. They went from these two class players to the likes Levia and Henderson in their midfield.

Because it's a glorified loan if he makes it at Leicester.

City insisted on a buy back, so if he improves they activate it, if he fails then Leicester are the losers.

Ah, didn't know that.

Glad we have swerved it then

Going of league goals,
Shane long at Southampton is a 1 in 4, iheangasho is a 1 in 4 at city, and he's got some of the best playmakers in the world behind him.

:coffee:

Pls to be using minutes rather than appearances monsieur. I think you will find my numbers are correct. Scores goals at nearly 3 times the rate of Long.

So what you're saying is...

THIS IS OUR YEAR

Never know until the seasons well under way mate ;)

But 4 of the 'top 7' have effectively lost or could lose their top scorers from last season. (United, Arsenal, Chelsea, us)

2 of the top 4 have gone from a 45 game season last year - to a potential 55-60 game seasons this year

4 of the top 6 managers are gonna face HUGE pressure this season if they aren't competing at the top by Christmas (City, united, the rs and Arsenal)

Spurs will have a good chance of dropping off massively this year, stagnating squad and Wembley
rs and Chelsea had paper thin first team squads and have done little to strengthen them, those Extra European games will be killers, especially for the rs with their system of pressing.

the 3 at the back which saw Chelsea run away with the league isn't gonna be a surprise for any team anymore, similarly everyone knows how to counter the rs and their system.

Mourinho has finished 15th (when sacked) and 6th with Chelsea and United, manager on decline - good cup manager still though.

Lots of unpredictability in the new season i reckon.

Gibson + Tierney have been my wants from the beginning but I doubt I'll see either in an everton shirt.

Oh I meant Gaz's ability now in a 25-year old body.

But what if another team like Barca or Real Madrid want to buy him as well if he bangs in 30 goals a season? Hardly a glorified loan.
