It wouldn't necessarily be as a winger. If we sign another CF then someone will have to adjust in some way.

Not really

In the majority of cases I would expect it'll be a case of either Sandro or Giroud (or whoever we sign as the other striker). At Southampton Koeman had Pelle and Long - they didn't often start together, but both got plenty of games and thrived under him

Sandro I see more as the Shane Long equivalent here (hopefully a significant upgrade) and Giroud being the Pelle equivalent

Don't Think we need to shoehorn all of our attacking players into the side - although there may be occasions where we play with a front 2 and they play together

I think that you are probably right and that is why I didn't want him here. Out of Sandro, Sigurdsson and Giroud (or some other target man) who gets dropped to accomodate Rooney? I'm personally not sure how all the pieces are going to fit together. Better to have the problem of too many players than too few but no one should be guaranteed a starting role and that is my worry.
There's Klassen to fit in as well.

It'll be interesting to see how things pan out.

This is a really good post, I just don't think Mr Koeman is this rigid in his views - I don't think he can afford to be.

In other words, if there is someone who isn't just a target man but isn't rapid and sits on the shoulder, instead he brings others into play I think he'd go for it.

I just think Dembele at Celtic is that very man. Scores goal. Quick. Intelligent. Young. Probs get him for £30m maybe?

Agree about Dembele but Celtic still in champions league unfortunately so won't get him till after next round.
Ajax however got knocked out so could go and try for Dolberg as they may be more receptive?
