I have a problem with the fact that the replacement hasn't been brought in yet despite lukaku being lined up for united months ago.

Calvert lewin is miles from being good enough to start. Rooney is washed up and Sandro untested.

He's received 95m to spend on a replacement which if we're not selling to buy is a huge sum to persuade a team to sell.

50m at benteke would do for a start. Deadly in the air. 26 years old. Loves a goal against the reds. Can hold the ball up and will have the best service in the league from sigurdsson. Scored 15 in 36 for a joke of a palace side.

I'd love Benteke but highly doubt Palace would sell this close to the start of the new season.

Hope to dear god Rooney isn't Lukaku's replacement - utter lunacy on RK's part if he is. Sandro looks good but is still unproven
Soooooooo Koeman has explicitly stated he wants a striker and you believe that Rooney is Lukakus replacement and so its Ronald fault.

Talk about utter lunacy. Its not a matter of ignorance, at that point its willful.

Ronald, the guy who coaches the team, rather than the guy who makes the deals, too.

Remarkably quiet - could be a good thing

I would have preferred more jarg rumours :(

The striker we sign should be costing at least 50m. No other big team would sell their best player for close to 100m and spend 5 on the replacement. They'd be spending 60 or 70m. That's cause you have to spend those sums to get the quality you need. Every day that passes with us having no centre forward completely negates the really good work we've done with Keane and Pickford.

Foolish bordering on inept that we sold our 25 goal a season striker without buying a replacement first.

...I doubt we were ever in the market for a direct replacement in a Lukaku like out and out goalscorer. I suspect Koeman has a different team model in mind, wanting goals from elsewhere and bringing in the likes of Sandro and Rooney. Saying that, it looks like he wants a big CF to weigh in with his quota and perhaps he was given the signals that Giroud was coming.
