Can I ask again what was Walsh actually doing in Italy?
It seems it certainly wasn't to sound out or negotiate on players.

Foolish bordering on inept that we sold our 25 goal a season striker without buying a replacement first.
...I doubt we were ever in the market for a direct replacement in a Lukaku like out and out goalscorer. I suspect Koeman has a different team model in mind, wanting goals from elsewhere and bringing in the likes of Sandro and Rooney. Saying that, it looks like he wants a big CF to weigh in with his quota and perhaps he was given the signals that Giroud was coming.
Fancied a shopping trip and a pizza at the clubs expense IMO.Can I ask again what was Walsh actually doing in Italy?

Buying strikers are notoriously difficult considering how reluctant teams are to sell their goalscorers. These last three weeks are going to be nail biting.

A source close to Everton scout Carlo Jacomuzzi has suggested that the Merseyside club may be interested in an unnamed Italian wonderkid. Alternatively the ouija board may have spelled zapatabaccagiroud.I would have preferred more jarg rumours
