I don't think he'd cost that much. Dude is 31. But he SHOULD be playing as a true CF. He's a complete pain to his opponents and runs his tail off. Definitely a Koeman type player.
Only really seen him in Champions league games as don't watch Italian league. But playing out on the left he reminded me of Wellbeck when he's played there, with the added benefit of being quality. I agree he looks a lot more like a CF.

Please no Ben Gibson. Like Hoedt's potential.
Think he's more proven than that in fairness mate. Had a good season last year in a team that was relegated. Boro had one of the better defensive records in the league and a lot was down to him. Like Keane he has the best years ahead of him and played alongside him on a few occasions for England U21s. I think they could develop into a very strong partnership for years to come.

Mandzukic is great shout a right snide as well a bit like Costa, one of those players that other teams hate but would love to have in their team, in fact I hate him, that is unless we sign him.

It's working out just fine.

We've got a good squad - with some holes still to fill.

We're evidently working on deals, and there's over 2 and a half weeks left to get those deals done which we have shown we're capable of.

So, as always, let's see what the team looks like come September 1st instead of wetting our respective beds.

Even without any more new signings, we should have enough to win today.
Hope you are right. Personally I think they are just as strong as we are. Our fullbacks are dire and we will struggle for goals. They look a little poorer in attack but stronger in defense. We might win but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a scoreless draw.

He is versatile and can play there, but would not be a satisfactory replacement for our previous guaranteed 15 goals minimum a season striker. Which, as you are aware Thomas C, is the point of whoever it was that was moaning about strikers today.
Not satisfactory for whom mr header? He did score 15 for Malaga last season, is younger than Lukaku and should really be carrying the same weight of optimism as when we signed Lukaku.

Admit it, it's because he didn't cost 25m for some isn't it?

Different type of player and I think people have doubts he can lead the line.

Plus forget transfer price or stats it was clear Lukaku was a special player. Sandro should be good but he's not another Lukaku.

Don't be silly T, generally a big club with lots of money will not sell their proven goalscorer for mega money and replace them with a young one season wonder for very little money.

Most were and are expecting a bigger signing than that. More expensive, and basically with a higher guarantee of goals.

Now Sandro may well be a roaring success, whether we buy another CF or not, but it still wouldn't change the situation above.
