If we're paying 60 million for a defender it better be Ramos or Hummels or someone of that caliber not Koulkablt or some no name who most Evertonians can't even spell.

If we want a monster its Koulibaly or mini Koulibaly which is Davinson Sanchez
Likewise Van Dijk or mini me Lemos

Or the kid De Ligt and bring him in gradually.

Something like that.

I think Pickford and Keane were our best signings by far. Pickford ive thought would be top notch over the past season and he had glowing reports and was class for England with his amazing kicking too. Keane I hadn't seen much of but watched the game against Germany and some highlights and read up on him and he looks the rock we needed.

Really as happy as can be with those two.

The thing is, and ive said this before...If you sign a class keeper and centre back then any centre forward will just target the other centre back e.g Jagielka or Williams.

So surely the common sense to me is to spend big on as good or even better centre back OR a young one like De Ligt at Ajax who looks like he will possibly be world class. Surely we then focus on a 2 season plan for them all to be partnered by full backs like Kenny and Tierney/Chilwell and so 3rd season (or sooner) theyre all looking like an incredible unit which can be around for many years.

That's key to win trophies so good enough for top 4...the centre looks fine and the defence is key with the forwards just needing some time I think.

No idea why Lookman isn't on before even mirallas...

I think the answer to your last line is because Mirallas is a seasoned pro, knows what is required to see a game out, still has an attacking threat and is bigger than lookman (important against the grocks of the potts). Lookman is one for the future but it's about doing the job in hand.

You normally post some sensible stuff but I think you are as drunk as me!! Buy some defenders for a two/three year plan, buy another centre back so they can target the weakest one of them!!!!! I'm lost

Seems to me that mirallas has lost his pace and unless hes central then hes a waste of time

1 -- If we play say keane and jags/Williams then forwards will stay clear of Keane and target the weaker link like say Williams

2 -- So we should sign a super centre back so we have no weak link.

3 -- We need to bring through Kenny and get in another left back e.g Tierney/chilwell and this/next season they will all be forming a really solid unit with Pickford behind and depth on the bench,

4 -- Over this time we are sorting out the forward positions and players like lookman and dcl are a bit more developed

5 -- So over this/next season build the solid base of the defence and sort the forwards.

6 -- By season 3 all is in place

However if Koeman only has 2 seasons I don't get why he isn't getting some defenders in now.
