Lamela for sure, but I think the others showed much more potential. Dembele had a great start then seemed to go off, but has definitely come back to great form again.

Eriksen has always been in different universe to Sigurdsson for me. In his worst season he has managed better than/as good as Sigurdssons best.

I don't really have an issue with this sort of signing for next season. Coleman is gonna miss a large part of the season and it'll be interesting to see if he comes back the player he was or better so to have a player like Martina to help out, who Koeman knows, and will be free, could be a good move and allow us to put our funds to other positions for next season.

If Coleman doesn't come back the player he was in the second part of the season, then look for a long term replacement next summer, along with a LB to replace Baines cos as good as he's been, I think he's only got a season left at being our No.1 LB, imo!....

Both Eriksen and Lamela took time to get going at Spurs, tbh it wasn't until Pochenttino went in that they started showing their best. Sigurdsson was sold long before that. Who knows how he'd of got on under Pochenttino?

We need a keeper, 2 centre backs, a right back, another winger, a number 10 and 2 strikers.

Massive summer for us.

That's exactly what we need and like for like replacements of any in the first team squad that are sold - that doesn't include Cleverley , Kone or Niasse but would include Jagielka , Mori or Mccarthy

The same man who was close to joining saints but left for villa for a bigger sign on fee?

More evidence that he was a southampton target who got away and Walsh and Koeman agreed on him.

So let's judge him on what he's actually signed

Williams 10 mil down the drain mid table player not good enough for club who wants to win trophies.

Bolasie same as above but paid more for an up market Mcgeady

Lookman looks out his depth and not ready for prem

Morgan good player but hardly a great unknown find and would of joined with no walsh due to Koeman.

Valencia lol.

So his track record isn't really great is it and with addition of wanting few other no marks who thankfully didn't join would of been worse.

My point was he has to earn his money or be replaced.

I think that your problem is that in your imagination, you are some sort of human resources expert, which you're obviously not in real life.

But Barkley and Sigurdsson don't play for the same team so the stats are not really comparable.

Looks like everything goes through Sigurdsson at Swansea (mainly as they don't have other options), that is not the case at Everton where you have others sharing the load.

Yeah but surely having better stats in a poorer side, regardless of if things generally go through that one player more than others, is impressive?!

And it can be comparable. Ok the goals through out our team are shared out more, but who else in our team seems to be creating and making the chances? It's Barkley really isn't it...

mentioned this months back but would like to see us go for Joshua King.....
I,d like to see us test Burnley for Brady, think he would be an excellent player for us.

Happy for Holgate to fill in personally with Kenny or Connolly as backup. Martina is a nothing player and I'd hate to see him come in and hold up the development of the likes of Kenny.

Zabaleta is also out of contract in the summer. Now him coming in for a season to cover for Seamus is a different matter.

I think people forget how being a keeper works. If you're not doing well, you're making mistakes. It's a lot more black and white than being a midfielder, where you're making runs, completing/intercepting passes, tackling, etc.

Being a keeper yes of course you have your footwork and your occasional sweep you have to come out and make, but a good keeper shouldn't be based off how many mistakes they make. If you make a mistake and you're a keeper, 9/10 times there will be a goal. If you're being put in a position to make said mistake, your defense has something to do with it too.

Top keepers make mistakes too. Do not envy being a keeper in this league or any top league. At the end of the day yes, they're supposed to keep out the ball, but sometimes it's not entirely up to them.
