What is your beef with our older full backs? Baines is bloody ace.
Was ace, he's been average bordering on poor for a while now bar the odd decent game.

Bloody ace at turning around and passing backwards. What a waste of a position he is now. Modern full-backs need pace, power and a bit of adventure. He doesn't benefit us whatsoever going forwards now and his defending has always been suspect in my eyes.
Lads, that's not investment o a base level is it...
Hence the issue.
We've no target.ive noticed he does this ALOT in crossing positions, what is that about?

Disagree with this somewhat. There are still times when he cuts inside with the ball and his speed takes him past players. It's something he needs to do more often imo.He hasn't got the pace or trickery to beat his man now so it's really his only option. Still does okay if he can play a 1-2 down the line but they're not often.
I agree, what frustrates the most is he always cuts it back low instead of whipping in the early cross like he used to.Bloody ace at turning around and passing backwards. Inferior league that is slow as anything.Flopped 6 years ago in a terrible side. Why don't you focus n the 20 goals he scored last season.
